Michael Jackson *double edit* Is pronounced dead
[Updated at 3:15 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times
debate, Whether it is a good or a bad thing due to the past that he has had.
Personally i have neither preference but thinnk that he was guilty of the crimes in "Netherland" and didn't get prosecuted.

Someone who dies as fast as that, without a chance to say goodbye to loved ones is always a tragic event.

So much shit has happened I don't know what to believe. I think it's sad that he's died. Although maybe good that he no longer has to suffer the shit that people put him through. He was just amazing.. R.I.P

Is death ever a good thing? Is that truly what solves a problem these days, killing people? No matter what he may or may not have done, I think it is a shame that he's no longer with us.

First, to correct your mistake, it was "Neverland" not "Netherland". Secondly, he was proven "not guilty", but that doesn't mean he didn't commit the crime. I do believe he did molest those children, but maybe he didn't. He had a unique love for children, but it wasn't "love" in the context of wanting to have sexual relations with him. I think that some of the children lied because their stories didn't add up. That's just waht I think.
Even if he's dead, he'll always be remembered by mixed thoughts. Why? There are two reasons. 1. He will be remembered for his 'Thriller' album and being a leading artist in the pop genre of the 1980s and 2. He will be remembered for being accused of child molestation.

I was amazed at the speed of the spread. by this morning pretty much EVERYONE knew

Everyone had to have known way before today, that's for sure. It spread out so quickly, yet no one paid attention to Farrah Fawcett, who also died yesterday after battling rectal cancer.

^^True, but I think anything that's most recent will always excite the media more than what happened only a few hours ago...

Good arguments : The people who believe he did infact molest the children were annoyed that he wasn't prosecuted. This is late justice perhaps?
Bad : I agree he was a music legend, not a fan, but he did change music for the better.

He was a legend. I really admired him. He changed music and our culture. I find it unfair how much he was attacked in his life (especially after the child molesting charges)
I do not believe he molested children. But I don't want to get into that. There's too many people on the internet being rude about his death. Even if you don't like the guy, that is no reason to make fun of his death. It's sad, somebody attacked me on another forum (not related to VT) because my avatar was of him. :(
MJ will surely be missed, RIP.

There will never be another Michael Jackson. With all the mess he had to deal with from the media and stuff hopefully now he will be at peace. It's a shame though he had to die so young and so suddenly. My prayers have gone out to the family and I hope they can look back and celebrate his life and not dwell on the "what if's" associated with those loved ones who are preceded in death.
Peace and Love to everyone out there.
We'll miss you MJ.

RIP to the king of pop. The only king of pop I think there will ever be. He will certainly be the ONLY king of pop in my books.
He had such amazing talent. It was just.. wow. Out of Jackson 5, he was probably the only member that actually got far. And it's totally worth it. He was such an amazing singer. I won't comment much on the whole children thing.. I don't really know how I feel about it. It happened when I was such a young girl, I don't know alot about it.

Yes, but if she really didn't care, then why waste the time and energy? This is a thread to talk about the events in Michael's life and spreading our condolances and not for having to read posts like "i dun care" or whatever.
Back on topic; I've found myself in the past few days to really like the album "Thriller". I mean, it's always been one of my favorite albums by any artists, other than "E5C4P3" by Journey and "Abacab" by Genesis. I was never a huge MJ fan, but did like his music from time to time.

come on about molesting those kids man ... we are all talking as all of us never did any sins or anything if he did it was bad but it is not our business .. plus the childrens versions never were the same ... they changed they lied ... and he was proven innocent ... so
and leave dead people alone ... and no it is not a good thing that he died ... death is never good not even for the worse person in the world!
Leave dead people alone if you are not saying anything nice ... Rip Michael
can you leave dead ppl alone pls ?

I was never really a fan of Michael Jackson, but I don't really believe he molested those children. Some of their accounts don't add up, and he was officially proven innocent, I think those kids who complained about his sexual abuse were just trying to get money off him.
It's sad he died though, and I find it kind of stupid that some people who believe he did supposedly molest those kids are glad he's dead and think it's justice. That's just sick.
Ironically though, I find it funny that some of the people who used to make Michael Jackson jokes are sad about him.

Did you guys hear about what was said about the media and "white" people at the BET awards in reaction to Michael Jackson? I was wondering if any of you had any opinion about that and if coverage of Michael Jackson's death has been "racist" in any way as people on the BET awards show claimed.

Yes, death is sad i agree even Hussein's death was sad because of his family but as far as the molestation trials go, everyone says, oh you cant prove that. If it was anyone else would you be that sympathetic? No, i don't think anyone would. And you say that he had no childhood and that he was messed up. Aren't ALL pedophiles messed up?
And Yes it was bad i wouldn't consider any death (except Hitler's because of all of the death's he caused and because of all of the people that were saved due to his death) good no matter what they did.

I don't think he has ever "touched" a kid since his last trial.
So him dieing really doesn't matter.
I mean, when you let your kid go around someone that has been accused twice of molestation, then you want to cause problems.
And also, he lost the ranch anyways, I don't think kids have much fun in a rented mansion.
Him dying should not be any excuse for someone to say "its better for the kids" because thats just stupid.
