I'm not sure is my answer but I did have a weird experience whilst over in the UK visiting a friend.

I was in the superdrug store and tried to buy KY jelly and went over to the self checkout things because I thought that might be a bit more discreet, as soon as it beeped when I scanned the item, it said 'authorisation required' and a sales assistant came over to me. I just dropped it and ran away - I was so embarrased! On reflection, i thought to myself I should have just bought it but it made me wonder that if it needed authorisation then maybe you do have to be an adult.

I dont think theres an age limit on KY, however a lot of the stores in the uk are now security tagging lubes and condoms, presumably because loads of horny teens were pocketing these to avoid paying or to avoid embarassment.

In Canada they are legal, but the problem is most of them are in areas that sell porn, so they can't let minors in, although I found one store dedicated to having sex toys for people that can't usually get them because of the porn laws.

In the US, the age restriction for buying sex toys is 18 years of age, but in some states, it's 21 years of age.
