Me=Me, Girl1=Girl I love, Boy2=Guy Girl1 has a crush on, Girl2=Trying not to have feelings for Boy2 anymore
-We are all going to be high school seniors in a month.
[Girl2: "Most people these days are in love with love and I think me and Girl1 are simply in love with love"]
Prelude
Me and Girl1 dated each other for thirty-three months starting from 2006. On the thirty-first month, we were closer to each other than we had ever been. School started a few weeks after that time and we focused on school. Girl1 broke up with me because she said she no longer had that feeling anymore. I can understand that because we had to focus on school but I still loved her. Although, I wish she talked to me about how she was feeling before she broke up with me (so maybe we can focus on school and still be together), but she did not talk to me at all but rather talked only to her friends. Since I have known Girl1 for over three years when I guess things about her I seem to always be right about them. So I kept thinking throughout these last eight months...Girl1 seems to be blocking out the reasons to why she loved me so much and replacing her idea of me. She recreating what she thinks of me in her mind. I believed that me and her fit like puzzle pieces, we were always able to read each other's mind perfectly and it just felt right just being around her. Our friends who have seen us together for over a year also agree with me on this statement....
Problem
Girl2 has known Boy2 for a couple of years and has obtained feelings for him for almost a year now. Boy2 found out about those feelings and told Girl2 that he wanted to wait until college to start dating. Girl2 respected his decision and still held onto her feelings for him, but they stayed very good friends. About two months ago, Girl2 brought Boy2 into our group. So Me, Girl1, Girl2, Boy2, and another girl started hanging out with each other like at school and the mall. Boy2 generally likes to talk very flirty to practically every girl. He doesn't put any meaning into his flirts but Girl1 eventually started to talk with Boy2 more. They mainly talk through AIM and Girl1 fell for his flirtatious talk. Girl1 never really conversed much with other guys so when Boy2 came into the group Girl1 just started to converse like there's no end. Girl1 and Girl2 are very close friends. Girl1 knows I still love her but she said she doesn't feel the same way anymore. She also said that she doesn't know if she actually likes Boy2 or not. Apparently, Boy2 said that he only likes Girl1 as a friend, but Girl2 told Boy2 that his flirtatious talk is leading Girl1 on into thinking that there might be something more than just meaningless flirtatious talk. Boy2 seems to not care whether or not Girl1 is led on or not. Remember the fact that Boy2 has known Girl2 for years while Boy2 has only known Girl1 for about two months. Boy2 said that if he had to decide, he would choose Girl1 over Girl2. His only reason was that Girl1 was cuter. I thought to myself, if I really loved Girl1 then I should be happy that Girl1 has found another guy to make her happy. But the more I get to know Boy2, the more I keep thinking Girl1 is JUST in love with love and is only seeing an illusion of Boy2. Girl2 also agrees with me on that statement; she says she still likes Boy2 for his personality but ever since Boy2 started acting the way he did toward Girl1, Girl2 can't help but think Boy2 is a "manwhore" everytime she thinks about him. Girl2 says she hates what Boy2 has become the last few weeks but still likes what she has seen for the last couple of years. Recently, Boy2 has been talking to Girl1 more and more, while he's talking to Girl2 less and less. I'm not even sure if Boy2 even told Girl1 that he wants to wait until college to date, but he did tell Girl2 very quickly. In the prelude I mentioned that Girl1 perfectly puts school before relationships, so once school's over and summer is here...Girl1 is extra (to say informally) horny. For the past three summers she spent it with me, and there was a clear difference in the way she expressed her love during summer and when school is in session. This summer (since she broke up with me) she has no other guy to turn to but Boy2. Which supports my belief that Girl1 is JUST in love with love and not in love with the person.
Solution
I wish I knew....
-There are some more details to add but the about paragraph is the bulk of the problem
-So what I would like to ask this community, is what are your two cents on this entire situation, and what do you think each of the four characters should do and your opinions on the characters?
-Other types of advice are also appreciated
-I would also like to thank ALL of you for reading this very long post. I am expecting non-candycoated responses and I appreciate all coming responses
Thank you for your time~
