It certainly is good for me, but lube is pretty essential. Also if you're going to finger cut you nails otherwise you might scratch yourself. I generally buy KY from the supermarket.

A tube of KY is about £2.95 british pounds, not sure what the exchange rate is for dollars. Durex make good lubes which you can pick up in the supermarket too, Durex Play is excellent, but thats a bit more expensive, about £4.95 but there's more in the dispensor (its a pump action dispensor - appropriate lol)

DO NOT USE SPIT. Spit is usually a terrible lube, and certainly not lubish enough for anal masturbation - it dries wayyyyy to fast and is not slick enough.

I have used shampoo and it didn't sting. Maybe it was the shampoo I used. But I would not use shampoo in your situation.

Use baby oil, or an actual sexual lubricant (KY), or lotion. Be sure to use a lot of it the first time, because one, it'll take a lot to stretch a new ass, and two, better safe than sorry. Apply to both your ass before you insert, and the object you will use to insert.

A lubricated condom over what you use to insert doesn't have enough lube, so don't rely on that.

Not normally in my experience, I've never bothered with douching and things generally come out clean.

In regards to lube: shampoo, conditioner, soap, gel, moisturisers and other lotions are all horrible, horrlbe choices! These are all things meant to be used externally, and can do some damage inside your body. Some are particularly abbrasive if not rinsed off. Buy a slicone-based lube. It won't effect latex gloves and condoms like an oil based lube (like KY) will, and it won't dry out like water based lubes often do (like OhMY). As a brand, I'd recommend WET: Platinum or Eros.
