Ginger Pubes...I dont get it

Ok so I've read about other people being made fun of because they have ginger pubes. Can someone explain to me the reason that they are being made fun of? Also, why is it embarrassing to them?

Well the answer to both questions is that it isn't common. Most men and women have brown or blackish pubes. Red is very distinct and different.

Well, i myself dont have read hair, but shiny orange-gold hair. And my pubes are kinda red where they're curly, and blonde other places, and i couldnt care less, looks better then really dark hair in my opinion, actually. o.o

I have some ginger in mine and some black yes I have been called names when I was younger but do I care ? No , I just ignore the immature people

i have red pubes but im not ashmed... and i dont get made fun of it either. its just human natural to make fun of or fear something that is diffrent from wat the normall is

I have to agree with the above posts. Red (or "ginger") pubes are just "out of the ordinary". Because most of the people in the world today have dark brown or black pubes, they are just not as common as most of the population. For this reason, people with "red/ginger" pubes are made fun of. In today's society, we "like to like what other people like". This is basically saying that we either conciously or subconciously want to be like other people, therefore tend to "change" ourselves into others (usually popular people or people who everyone likes). With this in mind, we find our selves to criticize those who are not of what we "like what others like". Think of this as an example. A lot of guys wear boxers in todays society, so when a kid is found to wear "whitey tighties" he is usually made fun of (this could be a misconception, but it is truthful in most societies). But when you look at it, underwear is underwear, therefore why are we making fun of others who are just trying to keep clean and are actually wearing some sort of underwear? What is so funny about "whity tighties"? Yes they are tighter, therefore "show more", but we all have what is shown (well, guys).

to me it depends completly upon where you live and i think the UK hates red hair the most for some reason

I think It's pathetic that some one makes fun of something very natural, in this case, ginger hair. I think every one is different and their bodies too, so people need to be respectful.

Its because most people have dark brown or black pubes. I don't see anything wrong with it, it doesn't make a difference to me. They shouldn't be embarrassed about it either, its just who they are.
