alright people awlays blame things on human nature but the question is are we blaming human nature becuase of human nature.
what i am getting at is the entire bassis of human nature is not understood
good example 50 years ago racism was "human nature" now there are less people that are racist than not
50 years ago a male dominated society was human nature now we live in a mostly equal world
what are the definet and absolutly positive things that always have been and always will be human nature

What? Excuse me? Racism and sexism were not and most certainly not human nature. Those things were a choice, not something your born with and governed by the actions of everyone. Most people were not racists they either didnt want to get involved, got invovled or were avidly involved. Sexism is basically what we consider now domestic abuse. Men needed feel superior to someone, since animals were done and they did each other in with war they turned to women. The reason why we live in an equal world is because the government gave us laws restrict the manner in which we treat people. There is still alot of sexism in the world but is often punishable in certain cases with the charge of Domestic abuse which comes in alot of forms. Rascism still exist but the worse I've seen is on video games. People are not born racsists or sexists they are either raised in a environment that condones such actions or from a serisou event that has built up hate. To be honest, I think you construing human nature with choice. Human nature is stuff like lust, sex, desire, etc.

Native Rose, Im sorry to disagree with you but they were, I hav done a bit of research (a small survey) and I have found that the most commonly occuring "human Nature" was Control, and you can control something in a few way... Fear, AKA harming. Domination, lierally making someone a slave without any violent meathods. Disciminatio, making people feel bad and therefore removing them from the equasion (not abtly put, sorry) and Trade, I'm sure I dont need to explain that one. So sorry, but yer it is. In my opinion Human nature can be alltered/... for example, the racism. But there was an act passed proclaiming that Racism be made Illegal.. You have to ask yourself, had that not been introduced,m would we still be Racist to this day? My opinion: I know people who are... To an extent every-one is, as they all have prejudice thoughts about a person... EG. If you saw a suicide bomber in a plane, would you automaticacly assume that he was going to blow up the pane... Exactly... and If you saw some-one opening a free nursery, you would think he is rather nice... Although in this day and age, people would think he's a peadophile

They cannot exist, my friend. The entire basis of your arguement revolves around completely denying the theory of evolution - sexism against women used to be as you say 'Human Nature' but that definition will always change, especially in the modern era, when virtually everything changes from one generation to the next. Perhaps the only thing that remains constant is life itself, everything else moves and develops, and if it can't adapt, it dies out sooner or later...

Control does not equal slavery, if you want control you dont dominate people that is not human nature, This is not social darwinism. People are not born racism Human Nature is basically something that is implanted in your brain. Racism and sexism are things that are nutured not pre determined. assumptions are not human nature when you see someone you think. Fear is human nature, prejudice is not, because people CHOOSE to hate certain people and others do actions that make others hate them.

It is human nature to err, to covet, to love and to hate. It is the nature of humans to rationalise the world around us in an attempt to make it seem
less threatening.

Racism and sexism are the result of human nature but they are not the definition of human nature.

NativeRose, sexism is very different from domestic abuse.
Sexism can lead to men being employed as firefighters over women because they are seen as the stronger sex. Sexism leads to the prevention of women in many high-up positions in companies because of things like maternity leave.
Domestic abuse is knocking your partner about because you can't control your anger.

Ok, I'll give some examples of historical sexism then.
Women weren't allowed to vote in elections for the simple reason that they were female until the 20th Century.
Women weren't allowed to keep money they earned until the 19th Century.
And women were only allowed to compete at Wimbledon from the late 19th Century onwards.

No I know about that, I thought that he meant like men being able to hit women like totally taking advantage of them
