How do you think they died out?Debate wether the person you disageree theroy is right or wrong,speech your mind!Personally I think it was nature,they ran out of what they needed,food,shelter and ect.I also think the T-rex mite have been a scavenger.

Umm.. a rouge meteor hit the Earth and caused ash to fly up into the air and caused the Earth to cool because little sunlight could penetrate the clouds, so plants started to die off, so natural reaction, plant eater dinasouars died off and then the carnivorous dinsaours food source started to die off; therefore, they died off.

hmm i like it but there holes like then how would we have came along,because most fish would die becuase of over growth because of dead dionasours not able to eat them then were would we come fromO_o,I belevie in god but i don't think he just created us.Maybe they died of from a diesase like you know the bird flu and swine flu?Maybe there ways a dino flu or something

Primative primates used to live in trees, if I am correct. When the dinasours died off, they were able to be able to live on the ground and evovle, supposedly. There's a lot more to it than that, though.

anything smaller then a rat would have survived. evolution then takes place. this wasn't the worst extinction, 95% of life on earth almost went extinct a few hundred million years before that and we survived that.

Indeed.
And only 2% of life that has EVER lived on/in the Earth, is still living.

I was told only 1%
so i dunno if i'd take all that at face value

There was no primates around during the age of the dinosaurs
Mammals were far more primitive back then

Those all existed
mammals = epic
As far as what caused the dinosaurs to go extinct I was taught in school it was an impact

My colossal dick whiped them all out. End of story. No questions. May as well just close this silly thread.
No, really. Personally I believe DaTrooper00's explanation;
Umm.. a rouge meteor hit the Earth and caused ash to fly up into the air and caused the Earth to cool because little sunlight could penetrate the clouds, so plants started to die off, so natural reaction, plant eater dinasouars died off and then the carnivorous dinsaours food source started to die off; therefore, they died off.
Is likely the best explanation for things we have at the moment. Some might even argue that the Gulf of Mexico is the crater left by the meteor that supposedly killed all the dinosaurs.

Yes I do believe in the meteor explanation. Yet as for the whole swine flu/bird flu. No stop thinking like that, nothing like that ever happened. Because if it infact had killed all the dinosaurs that would mean that all other life is magically immune to the disease.

Umm... That is a myth, there is no scientific evidence that that actualy killed the dinosaurs, let alone happen, and even if it DID killed them, then why not the spiders, science suggest they predate the diosaurs... So yer... Not quite abelievable

It is not a myth. It is one of the plausable theories that happened. There is a crater in the Gulf Of Mexico from a meteor. And it is only natural that from a species of life dying, it will disrupt the food chain. Spiders are smaller than the dinasours, they aren't like them. They don't survive off of massive amounts of plant life or meat.

Well you cant say that either. A theory is something that is basically proven true with the given info. The reason why many other species survived is because they llike use had more intelligent brains. When the brain senses that the person/animal is starving the brain will make things that it would normally not eat look good. Many animals became herbavores and such and such.

WOW I want some of them
ill put them on my list next to geneticly engineered zebra fish from my exam today
Anyway
i think it was the ash clouds and then an ice age or some such crap and then darwins theory of evolution steps in and the dinosaurs coudlnt adapt so couldnt survive
meh im probably wrong

Yes there is. Ash/rock has been found in the same layer as all the dinosaur bones. and the massive 90 mile wide crater in the sea next to the yucatan in mexico has been dated to 65 milllion years back. spiders and small mammals survived because they're smaller, simpler and more able to adapt then a 30-foot giant.
So yer....Quite believable.

There is a primtave primate,well prodo primate.Have you seen ica age?The little rat thing?Thats it he is a purgatourios or something,they have the body/bone sturcture such as our teath :D,yep he's the cloest date back animal thingie :3

Doesn't really need to be said, but yes. We found the crater candidate in the Yucatan peninsula, and coincidentally we find NO dinosaur bones past the 65 million year old KT boundary. It's a layer of clay that is very heavily coated with iridium, an element that is extremely rare on earth, but abundant in asteroids. Mystery solved.

*rogue, not rouge.
Basically the meteor strayed from it's course and got caught in the gravitational field around Earth.
