When you finish High School, what do you want to be job wise?

Personally, I want to be a computer technician, a sound engineer or maybe go into the veterinary clinic field. I think that out of all these three, I would really consider two major fields: Computer Technician and Veternarian.

If I wanted to become a computer technician, I'll get a good wage. I mean, I'm pretty standard when it comes to computers now, but I think I would like to study more about the more techy stuff. If I wanted to become a veternarian, I can help people out with their animals. I have a great love for animals and would love to help out with ASPCA or PETA and become a veternarians assistant.

I don't know.

My future is kind of a toss up right now.

I'm really thinking of doing anything and everything really.

No matter what I want to write at least one novel before I die, though I don't know if my actual profession will be in the field of literature.

I wanna be a doctor, in particular a hospital consultant. Upon leaving high school, it's about a 20-year climb to the top. I'm looking at neurology (nerves and the brain), endocrinology (hormones, etc) or cardiology (the heart and circulatory system).

As a consultant, one can be expected to earn about €260,000 from the public health system (for a 33-hour week) and about €200,000 from the private system (about 20 hours per week). It's not a bad little earner. ;)

But of course, the money is merely a bonus. I truly believe that it's my vocation to help people. :)

However, I do have one of those unrealistic dreams of becoming an actor or a TV personality, but realistically, that ain't gonna happen...

I want to be a psychiatrist, or have a career associated with child, clinical, rehabilitation, forensic or social psychology.

I've always wanted to be a tattoo artist though :P but I really don't see that realistically being particularly successful.

I plan to go to sixth form then college and after that University to become a teacher in Geography/History/Humanities Area from an age range of around 9-15 (maybe!) Pays £30,000-£40,000 a year - pretty awesome pay.

Well, I plan on most likely going into the field of science, such as a physicist(?) or an astromomer, such like things, but astronomers are not highly needed so that would be hard to get. Alternatives would be going into the field of music or history.

The starting wage for your average teachers in the UK is roughly £20,000-£22,000. Not £30,000, although Head of Faculty and Head of Year, and Head Teacher get much more. My secondary school teacher apparently gets around £100,000+ a year. Awesome fucking wage, eh?

(I know because one of my brothers was going to go into teaching.)

Anyway. I don't quite know what I want to really do as a working career, but I've already finished high school, but now I'm staying on in my school for Sixth Form for another 2-3 years so I can do three A-Levels.

I want to go to University after, or at least that's the plan. The career options I've considered this year are:

Vet
Software Engineer
Computer Technician
Navy pilot (Harrier pilot preferably)

To do the first three I need a University degree, but to be a pilot in the Navy, I need 180 UCAS points (around three A-Levels at C grade I think) and good medical fitness.

Those are just thoughts, though, and I've toyed with the Navy idea since I was 14, but I guess I'll have to see my grades and progress in the future first.

My dream is to become an author. But teacher or politician is probably more likely.

I'd like to be a lobbyist. Specifically, the economics aspect. It's something that comes naturally to me: the money and politics. I want to do Foreign Policy Lobbying for either the U.S. private sector, German private sector, or EU policy. The pay is decent, and when you think about it, lobbyists have more control over policy than the actual politicians.

Unless you come from a very influential and rich family, and attend independant schools, and/or eventually want to go to a top-line University, becoming a politician is not "likely".

I think it's probably nearly as difficult to get into politics as it is author.

I have settled down on my ideas a lot.

I really want to do something with music. Preferably a music teacher.
They don't make very good money but it I think will be something I enjoy.

On the other hand I would like to be a lawyer/politician.
I will get my law degree at some point and maybe start out as a mayor, then grow to maybe Das Gubernator or maybe da pres.

Recently, I was also thinking that the military would be a good home for me. I like the order, the ranks, and all that jazz. I could be in JAG like on the TV show.

But basically, right now music teacher slash politician
