I am studying Spanish, will be Spanish three next year. I know some Italian, some French, some German, some Chinese, some American Sign Language.

I believe that everyone should be at least bilingual. The most commonly spoken languages, in no order, are: Chinese, English, Hindu, Arabic, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

What others I want to learn are Arabic, furth Spanish, Further French, and signing.

I know a good amount of French, German, little Latin and a little bit of Japanese (only how to speak it not how to write it nor read it). Ideally, I'd want to learn more Latin and don't care if I learn more Japanese or not, the way I'm currently learning Japanese is from martial arts where we have to know the hits, kicks, etc... all in Japanese. Latin though I think would be very useful for biology and just in general to help understand other languages.

I am semi-fluent in French.
I know a bit of German because I had to learn it for a year at school.
I know bits and pieces of Latin but I would love to learn more of it.
And a language that is compulsory for me to learn is Irish (Gaelic). I am pretty much fluent in it by now though. Its my favourite language. :D

I'm pretty good at Spanish, though I slack and get lazy in that class sometimes, so I'm not as great as I'd like to be...

That and I know a small amount of Japanese, German, and French. I'd love to learn more of all of those, especially Japanese.

And my brother took Latin in college and told me it was great... So I'm looking forward to learning some Latin as well. I'd love to write poetry in Latin. ^_^

I am considered fluent in French. My native tongue is English. Next I'm going to learn spanish, simply because it is used so often in the US, and ASL (Sign Language) because it's global, for the most part and Greek because it's cool! :]

I dont understand why people don't really want to learn chinese. I mean, in my school and a lot around me, there is no chinese (mandarin or cantonese) offered. China is slowly becoming one of the most dominant world powers and could possibly soon rival the US.

I l'm learning German, Latin and Spanish. I love German and Latin, but want to drop Spanish when I start in year 9. I want to learn Japanese (I should've chose it instead of Spanish), but I am slowly (very, very slowly) learning little bits of it from watching anime.

Umm, Okay.
I accidentally voted wrong. I voted only French. What I meant to do was:

I speak a fair amount of French. Ive been learning in school.
However, I also want to learn German, Spanish, and maybe like Japanese. OH and Latin.

If I can do that, I would be really happy with myself. I also want to learn ASL :P

There simply aren't enough electives for me in H.S. :/

But yea, thats what i want

I'm taking Spanish, well, I have to take it because two years of foreign language are required to graduate at my school, and they only offer spanish. So unless you want to take classes somewhere else after school, everyone takes spanish...

I would really love to learn Japanese, Russian, and German.

Norwegian and Swedish are Germanic.

I speak French, English, Spanish, German, Mandarin Chinese. In order of proficiency. I still study French, English, Spanish, German.

I have no merits on the quality of my French. I'm a native French speaker. Up yours Americans learning French! :D

I would like to study Japanese because I'm a dumb otaku.
