I Play Guitar Myself, And I Decide It's Time To Start A Band. Anyone Have Any Ideas Where I Can Find Another Guitarist, A Bassist, Drummer And Singer? I Tried Myspace, But MOst Of My Friends Are Already In A Band, Or Can't Play A Instrument, And Those Who Can Don't Have The Right Equpiment. Any Suggestions?

Well, it's summer right now, but you could always try putting a notice out around school.

Try going for the music room/area of your school. You can try to ask your friends who do play and are in a band to see if they know someone who would be interested in joining. Although I'd suggest before you go recruiting, you have an idea of what type of music and have some ideas of some songs or parts of songs already made.

I was in two bands, although both were fails mostly because there was little passion to make a band other than for the whole idea of "ooo, i'm a rockstar" crap. Play diverse types of music even if you're not a fan of them. Myself, I like rock and metal but I play classical music, old rock, jazz and blues, etc... . You'll find that after you have a good deal of experience in other genres, then when you want to make something, you have a diverse plate to choose from as opposed to only rock or only jazz or whatever else. Find people who perhaps have different interests of music genres, you'll find that there are many similarities among the differences.

To form a successful band, you should be aware that their are so many musicians, and most of them can talk the talk but not walk the walk. Ask around in school, but actually assess the talent of people before you ask them. Also, like other people have said, are you going to compose your own music or be a cover band? How many members do you want? These are all to be considered.
