I saw an angel just a moment ago.
Silver wings, a golden halo, and a bright red heart
That shined through her embroidered white gown.
She smiled, I was dazed.

She didn't descend from above,
Nor ascend from below.
She spawned from nowhere,
And she just stood there, frozen in space and in time,
Smiling.

I wanted to admire her beauty from a closer perspective,
Her deep blue eyes, here beautiful golden locks,
But I was unable to move, stunned by her beauty
And controlled by some mystical force emanating
From deep inside her bright red heart.

Her smile turned from immense and glowing,
To full of pain and uncertainty...
Her hair turned to a lighter shade, nearly yellow.
Her eyes lost their depth and the spot
In the center of her embroidered white gown
Where there had been a bright red heart
Was gone, just like that.

She looked down at the ground,
And so I did too.
The ground was white, almost heavenly.
The ground didn't look like any ground
That I had ever seen before.
The ground was cloud-like.

I looked up and saw nothing.
I looked back in front of me
And the angel was gone.
There was an intense dark
Spotlight shining directly in my eyes.

Blinded by an unknown sentiment,
Something I had never seen
Or felt before,
I began to fall, spiral in fact,
Downward, back toward
Wherever I had come from.

And when I crash landed
Back down from where I came from,
I found myself smiling,
Despite the taste of blood in my mouth,
And a newly formed bright red scar
Toward the center of my chest.
