Water Faery

This is a picture that I drew for my cousin because she wanted a manga/anime style picture in her likeness as a water-fairy. Please ignore the weaponry along the left side of the picture, the sword and bow are just a couple of extra things that my cousin wanted me to draw. Please don't comment on the awkward position of the front leg, I'm already aware of the mistake. Lol. I'd like to know what you all think, and any criticism that you have. Thanks!
Drawn with:
-Pencil
-Faber-Castell Inking Markers
-Prismacolor Markers
-Copic Markers

Super cute! I don't see anything wrong with the legs if she's supposed to be hovering or flying. I had to look really hard to notice that her foot was a little crooked, but the drawing is so good in general that it's barely noticeable.
You used markers for that? Surely not the same kind of markers I'm thinking of, right?

How did you get the markers not to soak through the paper and spread and mess it up? And like, in her skirt where the layers overlap, how did you make the colors look right? Normally with markers if you color over something twice with two different colors it looks like crap. Did you just have a freakishly wide variety of colors? What kind of markers are those? The bottom ones just look like regular markers. Lol I'm amazed. xD

Most art stores carry more professional markers [such as Blick art materials in Columbus (lol I noticed that it says you're from Ohio)], but if there aren't any art stores in your area, you can find prismacolor markers at most staples [office store] locations. That's where I got my markers, and I think they're completely awesome.... but kind of over-priced. The copic markers are about twice as much as the prismacolor markers [I only have 3 or 4 of them, the colors that I used for the skin] but they are completely amazing and I love using them. Thanks for the comment. =]

P.S. I hope that helps... lol

With the markers I have, if I wait a few sconds for the ink to dry, they don't smear or smudge together [although if I color over another colour just right, they will eventually start to mix together, etc.]. Also, the markers on the bottom have very fine tips, and I only use them to outline stuff, not to color.
