Usually you can tell because randomly your voice will kind of go high pitched for a split second.

You'll be able to feel your throat vibrate a lot more, and your voice will go funny at times.

When your voice cracks, your word(s) (usually only one word, but hey... u never know) comes out in a definatively high tone. This is followed up by a brief period where you kind of cant talk (but it's really breif). At least, that is waht happens to me.

UM that's not true.
You can still produce high tones even if you have fully changed your voice. Its called a falsetto in musical terms or your head voice.

So technically, your voice will change, but not the tones you've had before...I know that's confusing kinda, but I'm saying you have changed the tone of your voice to deeper, but you can still access your old tones as well.

You're voice will go high, and then go back to normal. But I know, personally, that if you like to sing in you're falsetto(head tone), and its actually in you're normal range(like me), it can take longer for you're voice to get deeper, but I don't care. Singing is my world

Me too. I sing rock music and stuff. I love singing.

I know my voice is breaking because it changes tone while I talk and it is difficult to keep it under control. You may also notice growth of the adam's apple as well.
