At my school (i'm 15) we have the tampon and pad machines like every other school,so I went to the bathroom to get a pad because I was on my period when I noticed that they were out so I had to buy a tampon and my period was HEAVY ! The thing is, that I never used a tampon before. I always masturbate and I'm able to stick my finger up there. ** that is where the period comes from right ? where you can stick a dildo or wahtever into ?** Anyways, the tampon wouldn't go in, so I just wanted to know if there were sizes in tampons so that there could be a skinnier one, because I'm going to the beach with my boyfriend and my friends this summer and I don't know when my period will start so I need to use tampons. And I wanted to know if the period comes out of where we can stick our fingers or whatever up while masturbating.
thank youu ( :

Yes that is right. Your period does come from the same hole.
The first time using tampons can be quite uncomfortable, but you will get used to it.
Depending on the brand, there are different sized tampons for the stages you are in.
usually the machine tampons suck, so don't think all tampons do.
Tampax Pearl is a really good option.
But there are many other options as well.

The female above me is right, it is the same place. And yes, machine tampons suck. Most brands have different sizes depending on how heavy you bleed/are bleeding. I also agree with her that they are uncomfortable at first, but, once you get used to them you wont want to use pads anymore.
Also, as lame as it sounds, read the instruction inside the box. A lot of girls say that tampons hurt, but it's because they're doing something wrong. Lol.
Good luck. [:

I have a terrible phobia of tampons. They haunt me in my deepest nightmares.

I used tampons before my hymen was broken and it didn't hurt. You just have to make sure you put it in right. It won't hurt at all if you do it right. And I agree, sounds lame but read the box.

People don't have phobias for reasons. Look it up.
You don't usually break your hymen when you insert tampons, guys. Not unless you just stick it abnormally far up.

When I learned how to use tampons it was scary at first. here are some tips:
1.try to buy TAMPAX PEARL REGULAR
2. Go to the bathroom at home and get relaxed
3. Get a hand mirror and put it somewhere where you can see the opening of your vagina.
4. Open your lips of your vagina and find the hole
5. find the right position after a few tries and stick the applicator in slowly (dont shove, and dont push the tampon in yet)
6. Once the applicater is in until all you can see is the handle part, push the tampon in with the pushy thing
~~ then take the applicator out
I hope that helps. (: once you get the hang of it, man it is so much cleaner!

Try using a plastic tampon. Like the inserter. their much easier to use and they can become very small sizes if nessasary and yes you have the right hole. :) good luck.
