I am going to get a new computer this month, and I'm leaning too a mac.
Why? They are more simple, artistic, innovative, provocotive, I just like them more.
But I don't want be pissed when I get it if I don't like it.
I hate my pc, its allways trippin out, Its a 2005 built at a coustom shop.
and its not that i don't like it, I cant say that though I just did, its just I want something more effective.
Mac OS X just seems better then XP what are your opionions.

They are more simple[/quote
no
anyway
i think you should try Ubnutu linux before you trade in your computer (contact me on MSN if you decide to try it and ill help with the install) on linux, in my humble opinion, its [quote]more simple, artistic, innovative, provocotive and doesnt give you BS like windows (i having just ran windows "repair" myself and after repairing had to format
so ya i recommend ubuntu before you try mac

He wants something simple, not to run a server...
I admit, it's good to change something every once in a while. As long as you know what your getting yourself in to by switching to Mac (maybe some favorite programs won't run on it - just for instance).

yea, if you're not too into gaming then id go for the mac, but i havent really found a wide variety of games for the mac and they dont come out with the game for a while. But on the other hand, if you're into computer art and making your own music, mac is definitaly the way to go. good luck :D

Ya you need to first decide what you want to do with your computer, then you can decide what computer you need.

Although you are apathetic towards Windows, I'm not prejudiced against Linux. By suggesting Linux as a "simple" OS for him to use would mean hosting. The GUI is nice, not like UNIX, however, when you have to go 20 characters out of your way just to have a space in a file name, it's not really worth the trouble.

I'm getting a new computer, my old pal here is just.....so agonizingly difficult. It crashes soooo much, and my upload speed is, well, depressing. I've put too much time into this pice of shit, and I'm getting a new one, I've just been like, really looking into mac's....and the mac has hundrends upon thousands of games....like allmost every game for the pc is on the mac. *looks for link* http://www.apple.com/games/ there all there. and most of the programs I like, are on the mac. So I'm just asking around.

*gasps* MY BABY NO NEVER lol. though I'm replacing it with a new and improved model, shes still in good shape, has her fast days and slow days. I just with I knew more about computers so that I could figure out why its been crashing so often and why its been so slow and goofy. I defragment it and clean it and do virus scans and I keep it organized, do away with unused programs, still have plently of space to add things....I just don't know what the deal with it is, its just so.....grumpy, does anyone know what may be the problem, I can tell you outside of vt all the details, but I'm to secritive to tell it publicly.
