Yeah, I've got it pretty bad. I don't go to the pool because of it. I'm on acutane. (prescription med that's supposed to help. it has too.) yeah, it sucks doesn't it?

Ok, listen good. You can get acne anywhere on your body as long as there's skin. Many people have acne, and not just on their face. Without madication or gels, the best thing you can do is wash it gently and try not to pop it. Other than that, you just have to live with it and accept yourself for what you are and what you look like...at least for the time being.

why shouldnt it be poped, and yes it sucks.

If you pop it...well it's mostly puss and that's all bacteria so you get it on your hands and on your back and if you get it near your face you can become infected or something, not to mention you can get scars from it. My mom's liviong proof of that.

Yeah, when they are popped, a) bacteria gets in the wound, ofen resulting in more puss buildup/infection, b) it usually rips off quite a bit of skin, resulting in scars and scabs, and c) they look better only for a short period; after that the look even worse than before.

You should just accept yourself for why you are. Yea, you may have acne, but who doesnt? My philosphy is why worry about something everyone has?

i still have it but im taking medication for it.
like the people above said,
dont touch them, they are on your back, no one will see it
i know it can feel uncomfortable at times but you just have to grin and bear it

and also if you touch them, then the bacteria spreads to the skin around it and it brings more out
DONT TOUCH

Yes, I have it and I have to say I think it is gross and disgusting as well as a pain in the a**. I am putting stuff on it to get rid of it though and I found that in the summer exposure to more sun and swimming (cause it keeps things cleaner) can reduce the amount of acne everywhere.

I have it, not a bad case though. Just live with it I guess, or go on medicine.

I think the most effective way to try to prevent it is making sure you wash well. Soap and water and getting all parts of your back

Isn't it really hard to wash your entire back? I know i cant move that far... at least not with a bar of soap?

Ya, washing your back can be extremely tricky. For me though the acne is only on my sholders so I can reach it all pretty easy.

Soap and water don't always work, not saying it won't just that it isn't 100% effective 100% of the time.. Sometimes this just eliminates part of the problem. You should consider something else if this doesn't work.

Soooooo true!

Umm, sun can have an effect on acne in general. Not really sure why but I find that in the summer and during times of long sun exposure (such as swimming) my skin is clearer.

I have the exact same thing mostly up next to my shoulders to be honest I don't really care just wish the stuff on my face would go down there! Happpens even to adults on their backs don't worry about it.

Uh, anyone who's ever felt insecure about anything knows that this advice does not help at all.

A lot of acne skin care lines have body washes now, since your problem is actually pretty common. In addition to that, you may want to try using an exfoliating scrub once a week or so. I know it seems kind of girlish, but scrubs are good for your skin because they get rid of all the old dead skin cells. If your acne seems especially bad and over the counter remedies don't seem to be helping, look into seeing a dermatologist.
