One of my friends just had a baby boy a few days ago. She was battling breast cancer for a few years back and now cant breast feed her baby. I was wondering if there was a way i could produce breast milk without getting prgnant myself. I really want to help her with this, but idk if i can.

Im fairly sure you cannot produce breast milk for her without being pregnant yourself. There's chemicals in your body that tell you're milk ducts to start producing when you get pregnant. I don't know if there's any way to stimulate them milk ducts you might be able to through hormone drugs, but at that point it would probably just be better for the baby to go on formula.

I would suggest against it. there are many safe alternative ways to have nutrients in the baby. Though, there are many hormone supplements that a doctor could regulate for you if you were set on it. Things like taking prolactin, oxytocin (not a good idea), progesterone, oestrogen, FSH, LH, and stuff like that.

You can't get breast milk without being pregnant, even if there was a way, you shouldn;t, because it could cause the baby sicknesses not to have it's own mother's milk, but someone else's.

There are breask milk banks set up precisely to help women who want to give their babies breast milk, but can't lactate.
Help your friend by refering her to one.

No, sorry, it's not possible, you have to be preggers to start lactating.:( that's a very nice gesture though!
