Is it wrong to talk to yourself?
Well, no, I know it isn't wrong,

But, I talk to myself quite a lot.. I have imaginary conversations with people, and actually act some things out, pretending I'm with someone or whatever.
I never gave it a second thought, until I watched a program, and they said it was a sign on delusional schizophrenia.

But, they meant, talking to someone and actually hearing someone talking back, didn't they? I know I'm not talking to anyone except myself. At least, I think I do.
I mean, it's nice to imagine I'm talking to some sort of God sometimes, but I never get a reply, and don't expect too.

But, yeah? There's nothing wrong with it, is there?
Sometimes, it gets to the point where I start to believe it's real, or could be real.. but I know that's wrong.

=\
Thanks for reading.

i am pretty sure that it is only classed as delusional schizophrenia if you get replies :)

I talk to myself quite a bit, but I don't think as much as you do. Here is a bit of info from an article I just read:

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by loss of contact with reality (psychosis), hallucinations (usually, hearing voices), firmly held false beliefs (delusions), abnormal thinking, a restricted range of emotions (flattened affect), diminished motivation, and disturbed work and social functioning.

Schizophrenia is probably caused by hereditary and environmental factors.

People may have a variety of symptoms, ranging from bizarre behavior and rambling, disorganized speech to loss of emotions and little or no speech to inability to concentrate and remember.

If you are interested in taking a non-medical quiz that will give you some insight about the possibility of having schizophrenia follow this link:

Your behaviour isn't particularly rare.

I remember doing this a lot when I was younger (around the ages of about 5 to 10 years old). I would pretend to have conversations or arguments with people in my school and act out many scenerios I had just created in my head. I also pretended they were replying and could vividly imagine them standing right infront of me, and to me it all seemed pretty real but I know I was doing it on purpose. I didn't suspect it to be another major psychological disorder, as I knew it was probably linked to my mild autism. May I ask, are you diagnosed with anything? Or suffering from stress or anxiety related issues?

As you said yourself, you don't expect a reply and you know it's not real, and when you begin to think it could be real you know it can't be, so I don't suspect that you may have delusional schizophrenia because these conversations are coming from the thoughts in your own head with YOU acting them out without them really replying themselves - so not hallucinations, if you understand what I'm trying to say.

Yeah, as long as you donlt do it in public, you're Ok.

There's a fair amount of research out there that shows a pretty good correlation btw'n IQ and this, as well as creativity. Which makes sense, when you think about it, b/c when you talk out loud, you amplify the processing of the info, it's coming in a different modality then when you think silently.
