View Full Version : sound wont play on windows media player?

whenever i insert a dvd on my laptop it plays through windows media player, everythings fine except it won't play sound.
i've tried multiple dvds and it's not on mute:(

WMP doesn't have the correct drivers to decode audio from a DVD by default.
Download & install FFDShow, you should be able to hear audio then.

VLC media player will play pretty much anything, including DVDs. That's another great program for playing DVDs :)
