A new day, a new chance
To make what I haven't
Been able to do in the past
Finally come true.

I'll take my car out the driveway
And drive down the main street
Until I'm a few feet
Away from my destiny...

I'll knock on the door,
Drop my heart to the floor,
And hope I go unignored,
And that you're there, not elsewhere...

A new day, a new chance
To make what I haven't
Been able to do in the past
Finally come true.

I'll hear you unlocking the door
And I'll stop for a moment to think
About what has been said so many times before
And I'll think how to phrase what needs to be said...

The door will swing open
I'll tell you I'm broken,
I'll tell you I'm hopin'
That you'll give me one more chance!

But will you hug me and hold me
And tell me its alright
Or will you slam the door
And make this my worst night?

A new day, a new chance
To make what I haven't
Been able to do in the past
Finally come true.

Finally I will make you want to love me,
I'll make it last, I won't ever hurt you...
I'll promise forever and mean it, I swear
And I'll never leave you, baby I need you!

A new day, a new chance
To make what i haven't
Been able to do in the past
Finally come true.

I'm not screwing this up,
I'm doing it right this time,
I won't give up until
You're by my side! (x3)

Haha, yeah, I know how true that is... I'm just f-ing lazy when I write some of these songs, and the chorus is the first thing that pops into my head, so I just decide not to put an intro in before it (because it just takes too much thought... :P).

I don't write music sadly, I used to be able to, never pursued... So I simply write lyrics and record me singing my songs (so I remember what they sound like). I plan on relearning how to write music either next year or the year after. At that point I should be able to write songs with music, and thus be able to specify what instruments would be involved, etc...
