I've been working at my current job for a little more than two months now. I work on a riverboat and I love it most days. I like working with the people and I love the atmosphere.
However, I'm not getting the hours that I was promised when I was hired.
I work to help my family, and in the meantime, it'd be really nice to start putting money into savings and to start paying on my own car so that I'm in a better position to leave when I turn eighteen. I think I may have gotten barely twenty five hours in the past two weeks.
The pay is nice, but it doesn't do much when you don't get near as many hours as promised. I'd love to stay on until the end of the season because, as said, I love working there. Not to mention that my manager is well known and would make a great reference.

My two options are to look for a second job or find another one and quit this one entirely. I won't quit this one until I've landed something else. I'd simply get a second job and continue working on the boat, but I start college in two months and that makes the whole situation a little more complicated.
Advice? Thoughts?
