Scar

I have this scar on my penis that starts at the very bottom and goes up to the head. What could cause this? I haven't had some strange operation. It's been there since I had a brain grown enough to remember anything. I might have been born with it. or does everyone with a cut penis have this? I don't know why they would but is it because of that?

I have a line on my penis (the back of it which I cannot see when hard) which seems to be just thicker skin.

That's not a scar, it's the raphe, the line that results from the formation of the penis, before you were born. The penis starts out flat and undifferentiated, with development it 'curls' around to form a tube, the ends fuse together, leaving that line.

You probably notice it more now b/c the skin there reacts differently to the pigmentation caused by the hormones (as does your scrotum, which reddens/darkens, too).

No I don't think this is a scar.
IAMSAM (the lovable one :rolleyes:) posted the definition of this a year ago:
Raphe=the brown line that runs the length of the penis, on the underside.

I have one. I'm pretty sure everyone has one.

This is what Wikipedia says:
The perineal raphe extends from the anus, through the mid-line of the scrotum (scrotal raphe) and upwards through the posterior mid-line aspect of the penis (penile raphe).
It is observed as a noticeable line.
It is the result of a fetal developmental phenomenon whereby the scrotum (the developmental equivalent of the labia in females) and penis close toward the midline and fuse.
The resulting ridge of tissue is evident as the perineal raphe.

Basically, when we're in the womb yo, our bodiez are sorta like a female body, no wat i men? So we have meat curtains, but then when we becom yo boyz then they all close up an' form that seam on yo' ballsac, and that line you see on yo' dick that there is part of that seam, 'aight?

yep completely normal, as many have explained ,many more thouroghly then others, this is just a raphe caused by the formation of the skin around the penis.
