Ok, I'm really upset at myself. I look in the mirror and see nothing but a fat blob. I can't stand to look in the mirror anymore in the morning. I'm weak too. I can't keep myself on a diet, then I hate myself for it. I used to cut, now that gives me a worse mental image of myself. I just don't know....i REALLY don't want to be like the my first year of Highschool :(...help.

Don't go on a diet.
Change your LIFESTYLE.
Diets are temporary, and if you go back to old habbits after the "diet", you'll most likely gain it all back (if any weight is lost).
If you change your lifestyle, it's permanent.

Go to a doctor and if they recommend weight loss, they can help out with it, too.

I agree with what she said. Make a lifestyle change instead of going on a diet, then that way it's permanent and you get to live a healthier life.
Make it easy to stick to as well, or alternate for example one day healthy, one day not or one day where you eat what you like. That way you can eat healthy and then still get your sneaky treat during the week. That should help you lose weight if you feel you need to, or just get healthier.
I don't recommend counting calories if you are/were doing that, doing so becomes an obsession (Well it can be) I can't eat anything without knowing how many calories are in it because of a diet I started last year.
Oh and don't forget the regular exercise in your new lifestyle :)
Hope your ok x

You're fourteen. Your entire image is going to change as time progresses. Being that we don't even know what you look like, there's very little that can be said here.

Yeah, but to lose weight you need a healthy diet. I suggest getting out and doing more healthy things. Eating good food. Carrots, celery, etc. :P

Instead of trying to eliminate snacks and such, as is usually done on a lot of diets, why not simply eat healthier things instead of grabbing for junk when you feel like snacking? I'm kind of in the same boat as you, and I know it's tricky to stay on a diet, and eat healthy foods, when there's so much that just tastes so delicious, but isn't healthy. It's okay to indulge yourself occasionally, but when you do, exercise a bit longer that day, to make up for the junk you may have eaten. Keep on trying, and don't necessarily see it as a diet, but simply eating more healthily. If you do continue to have a hard time, perhaps talk to your doctor and maybe work out a healthy diet plan to follow so that you are able to both lose weight and maintain a healthy weight.

Diets don't work, so don't try them.
Try walking at least 30 minutes each day, you don't have to jog, or run, just walk around the neighborhood for 30 minutes. Trust me, it'll make a difference.
Also, learn to control how much you eat. I'm not saying to starve yourself. Just make small adjustments, like stop eating when you feel full enough that you're not hungry anymore, but you could still squeeze in another bite. Never eat until you feel bloated.
Skip out on junk food, and drink more water.

Most of all, try to remind yourself of the things you really like about yourself, not just physical things though :]
hope this helps ;D

That's really not necessary. All you really need to do is boost your metabolism.

Actually, that would help to some degree, but you may have misread it. The point was likely to sweat. The more you sweat, the more you burn calories and, as such, lose weight.

In which case she can just go to a sauna, and she'll sweat an equal amount.....

It depends on your body type. I sweat more when I jog; exterior heat doesn't make me sweat much. Besides, you build endurance while doing so. You can, however, do both.

Sweating is important to fat loss. :P

Oh, and at the OP, you dont need to eat little and only healthy stuff to lose weight, just learn to boost your metabolism, which can be done by not changing what you eat, try talking to professionals.)

My friend went vegetarian. In a year she went from a size 6 to a 0. Diets can work, but only if you're really committed. If you do go vegetarian, remember to take supplements. :)
