I am not endorising drug use in anyway.

Cannabis is impossible for a user to overdose on.
Cannabis can make you throw up if you use to much of it (whity - slang we use when someone does that)
Cannabis can get you in legal trouble - In the UK it is now a class B drug so carries a fine / criminal record - Extent of the punishment depends on how much you are caught with, if your selling it etc.
If one was to use cannabis, then don't drive, it will delay your reaction time etc.

i DO NOT condone the use of drugs in any way :P

BUT, it is, like sebbie said, NEARLY impossible to overdose on (you must smoke 2 times your body weight in under 15 minutes...physically impossible {for puny humans :P}

it CAN make you throw up, but it's not depending on how MUCH you smoke, it's in how much TIME you have smoked your amount. i've seen people smoke a half ounce within a day without chuking, but i've also seen someone take 1 HUUUGE hit and an hour later they threw up.

as for legal trouble (im not too sure about anywhere other than CA) it can't get you in TOO much trouble unless you are selling it (anything over an ounce here is considered intent to sell), i got caught with a half ounce and i had to go to two marijuana classes each lasting 2 hours. no fine no ticket no nothing.
and as for not driving while "under the influence of marijuana", it can be dangerous if you are not used to it. every friend i have ever driven in a car with has drivin stoned numerous times, but pot does lower your concentration which can be dangerous while driving.

As the rest of you say Im not condoning it but... I smoke mj all of the time... I really like it and how it chills me out at a party or after a long day... Im sure me smoking pot is better for me than my dad taking the xanax and liquor drink after work which could turn into a problem for him, but I personally believe that smoking pot will have few ill effects on my body and me later in life. Weed hasn't ever hurt me in anyway, just made me really hungry and a relaxed

I think what manienl said was kinda true. Within the past...6 months I have met SOOOO many pot heads in my grade.
First, it is sad. Really fucking sad at the numbers of people that smoke pot or do other drugs in my school. Its astounding. Anyways, umm one girl is an excessive pot smoker and drinker. Shes going to be a failure. She constantly smokes it and is as dumb as a bat.
Well anyways shes gotten in trouble with the law for it. Umm the stupid thing is that her dealer doesnt get in any types of trouble. Just the stupid users.

Anyways, the point I am trying to make is sometimes it really screws up your life. It can alienate you from your friends (which brings me to another person but this is getting long), it costs money and you might want to use money for better material possessions, and its killing your lungs, and it is pretty obvious of the people who use it after a few years of use. Sometimes they become ditzy or their voice sounds kinda wierd. My potdar is developing :P

Anyways, if you are going to do it, I can't stop you but you shouldn't for various reasons.

I haven't done MJ but chances are if you're not driving or operating machinery, then the biggest danger is legal and what the folks may do to you if they find out.

There is a stereotype with people who use MJ so that can affect your social interaction and how you're perceived by others.

Marijuana does not contain the poisonous chemicals that are present in tobacco that destroy your senses.
