Hey,
I am kinda scared to wash under my foreskin for a few reasons.
Well, my glans are pretty sensitive and I am scared that the hot water beating down on my penis glans will be too sore and I am scared that soap will sting down there. I am asking this urgently because I have smegma building up down there and it is very annoying and it doesn't smell the best.

Regards,
Oathekeeper

It is not that bad. Billions of guys have to wash under their foreskin so man up and do it, for the sake of personal hygiene.

Use common sense to, if the water is hot, use cooler water, use a soap that doesn't irritate you skin.

Just do it very slowly and gently and see how it feels. It is very important to wash under foreskin. I do it all the time and it never gets sore.

We have a bath at home and not a shower, its no problem in the bath, and soap is fine. If I'm taking a shower when I'm not at home I just wash all over using shower gel and thats fine too, no problem. There's no need to direct the shower jet directly onto it, just let the water run down if the pressures too strong.

Soap is fine if you are washing it off, it only stings if you just keep it on there.

If you're careful not to let the soap into/touch the urethra, you should be fine stinging wise.
Now I'm not sure what others do, but I know it hurts me too when hot water hits my penis. Instead, I cup water with my hand, and kind of pour it over my penis, to wash off the soap.

The "Stinging" you're referring to is *that* tickling sensation, right? Just from touching the glans?

The way to overcome that is to retract more, when you bathe (don't worry about the H2O), and when you urinate. If you're new to retraction, what's happened is that the glans being covered all the time has led to it being very sensitive, b/c it's not used to sensation. Get more 'Air time' down there and it will naturally desensitize to these (but not sexual) things.

You shouldn't be scared, there's nothing to be. Besides I recommend you to wash you gland very well because if you don't you can get infections.

i was thinking that maybe baby shampoo could help cuz it doesnt irritate the skin. plus it smells good. like a brand new baby =))) sry. anyways, try that, wash gently or else it might hurt if u wash hard. and try using cool to warm water. that might not hurt ur glands. =))

mines are super sentitive too just hit it with a shower head then like in 3-5 seconds the sensitivity is gone the shower wont bother it but rubbing ur finger against it will for some reason

then 4get the shower and use a bowl. if ur worried about pain, use a topical pain killer like lanacaine, but make sure its safe 2 use first

I have this problem as well, my penis is very sensitive and I can never touch the head of it when my foreskin is back.

I have never masturbated or cleaned any part of my penis because in the shower it hurts when the water is pelting down onto my penis.

I looked at the advice here, and judging from it, what I should do is have my foreskin pulled back more so it can air more and become less sensitive?

Thanks to anyone who can confirm or add to this, and I am looking forward to contributing to this site!
