Okay, my grandpa died in January of 05. And for the past week or two. I've been having creepy dreams about him. Can someone help me figure it out what it is? I can't ask my mom because she hated him.

Absolutely. I had a dream about him the night before he died. I've never had a dream about him since. Up until about two weeks ago. :/

im sorry for your loss

maybe if you have watched something scarey before you went to bed that could be contributing to it

also if you knew him well you could be missing him but you just dont know it your brain can tell you things in pritty strange ways sometimes

Dreams are caused by thoughts that we happen to be thinking during our sleep (as I'm sure you know). The dreams you have are connected to what you are thinking. Perhaps you've been thinking about your grandpa a lot lately, for whatever reason there might be, and when you fall asleep at night your brain takes those thoughts of your grandpa and simply turns them into a creepy messed up dream. I wouldn't say it's much to worry about. Maybe talking to someone about the dreams if they become consistent, could help to get your thoughts released in a different way, preventing some of the dreams from occurring, if that makes sense. Best of luck :)

I know how you feel, my dad died in may 05. But; i dont have dreams about him, i always get the feeling hes talking to me or behind me, but theres nothing there. I usually just say "f off, im not in the mood dad." =). But in a dream, i dont think you could say that. Maybe you're thinkin about your grandpa sub-consiously, so you've dreamt about him.

it might help if we knew what the dream was, what's the imagery? What's the 'story'?

I'm sorry for your loss, its never nice to lose a family member.
But as for all this 'contact from the dead' shbang. I really don't think we should be on those lines. Thinking logically, dreams are from your imagination, from your brain.

Not from the dead. Some believe in all that...but usually I thought that the dead try and contact you when your awake?
Anyway, it may be that your just missing him and the only way you can see him as it were is in your dreams.

But if you say there creepy? As sam has said, what happens in them?

i get really weird dreams too. my moms friend ws living with us and in my dream she took a knife and said "why dont you just cut yourself" and she made the cutting motion on her wrist.
she knows i cut ):
i have a therapist and i talked about it with her. i think it helped. try talking to someone about them whether its a school coulnser(might not be possible since its summer) or try telling your mom you need a therapist to talk to(if your up to it)
