I hate to whine bu I figure it's better to get this all out in the open. Over the last couple of weeks I hav been horribly depressed, to the point where I am moderatly suicidal. I just spent the last hour browsing through a Usenet group known as A.S.H. (won't post full name; dont want to get banned). I am experiencing fatigue, apathy and outbursts of unhappiness. Any advide would be appreciated.
Felix.

suicide is not worth it...if you care about anyone chances are that they care about you and they'll be crushed if you died. do you want to be the reason for them losing years of their life to the depression of losing a loved one? dont go out that way. get help.

one thing i always remember when considering suicide is that its a perminant "solution" for an only temperary problem. and you have to remember the problem is in your hands to get out of. there are so many other options people forget to see depending on the situtation.

Thanks again you guys. I'm starting to come around. I hope I stay this way. It's like I have extreme highs and lows at the moment. :(

It's great to hear that you are coming around.
You just have to focus on the higher points that you do have. Don't forget that even during a low, it'll get better. It always does.
Counselors are good help when you get into the low points. If you don't go to one yet, try it. If you don't like the guy or gal you get, try another one. There is someone out there who can help, and with a little time, you can find em!

Hey Felix, you probably don't know me very well, but my name's Heather.
I was exactly that way last month, it was worse than ever and I couldn't pull myself out of this one. I went to the ER and checked myself in because i was truly scared, I couldn't find reasons to not do it anylonger. So I was checked in and was there for about five days, it sounds scary and such but it keeps you safe. Do whatever you have to to keep you safe because you may not believe it but you are wanted alive.
Take care and hang in there.

If you commit suicide there is nothing left. And nothing exists, And your life right now and everything else is meaningless.
Interpret that so i dont sound like some devil worshiper please

You know, I suffer from chronic depression and I've gone through some really bad stuff (Dad died, Fiancee of 1 year left me, Lost house...) and suicide is tempting. But, I love music and that keeps me going. My point is there must be something or someone you love enough to hold on to. It ain't worth it, 'cause you and I are going to remembered for great things if you hold on. It's all just a test of your endurance that will make you stronger if you hang in there (What doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger.). Whatever you're destined for, it ain't gonna be found in a box 6 feet under the dirt.

Kasbain, i know how you feel. I went through these patches and am still kinda going through them now. What has helped me the most is just talking to my mates at school, especialy my best mate, and talking to my form tutor. I'm glad that your pulling through, the same stage as me, and i hope that u will be ok :)

I dont mean to upset any admins, but i think that its kinda stupid if you want to stop people from helping other people by locking the thread and also locking any threads....

True, but if Kasabian (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/member.php?u=43) has already received the help they need and it's been awhile then it should be up to Kasabian (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/member.php?u=43) if it should be locked. He is a mod of this forum and the creater of this thread.
And Diego it's not your place to decide if it should be locked or not. Use your brain and realize that the creator of this thread is a mod and can decide for himself. How does it affect you if it's locked or not? You've contributed nothing here.
