ok my druggie of a friend (the same one from my LSD acid post, gotta stop hanging out with this guy) took one of my old prescription cough syrup bottles and drank about a forth of it and said he felt amazing and great and all that crap u get when ur high.

the problem is i am honestly thinking about trying it, not much but just to see what it is:eek: someone please tell me not to and all the bad shit that will happen if i do. i DO NOT want to turn into this kid, but the syrup is looking better and better every day.

Overdosing on any medication whether its legally bought/prescribed, illegally bought is a silly idea. The recommended dose on the back is designed for our safety and the best amount for the medicine to work.

Just drinking a forth of a bottle is dangerous. Especially if you don't know what the chemicals in it will do to you. You could be risking your life. So don't be fucking stupid and get rid off the medicine if that is the only thing that will stop you taking it.

OK, I have no problem telling you what you want to hear: Trying prescription cough syrup (or any prescritpion medication that's not specifically for you, ftm) is a really bad idea and you shouldn't do it. Not only do you risk becoming dependent/addicted to it (if it's got codeine), but you can harm yourself a lot. There's a reason why it's given ONLY with a doctor's prescription, afterall!

Walk past the bottle of cough syrup, and head towards the bottle of chocolate milk instead.

its not a good idea at all my friend tried to use stuff like that to kill her self and thank god her mom was a fast thinker she survived. but my point is that can kill you even with what sounds like a small amount it does not take much to kill

cough syrop contains DMT, which can get you high. This is EXTREMELY stupid. I've had a friend drink it, and he just got neautious and a headache. Please, just don't. It's meant to make you get better, not high. And seriously, keep away from that kid.

btw cough syrup does NOT contain DMT, it contains DXM (dextramethorphan) which can and will trip you out with high enough doses, DMT (dimethyltryptamine) is a chemical which is produced in your BRAIN. DMT is the chemical responsible for your dream process and is only released when you are in a deep R.E.M. (rapid eye movement) sleep and is only released for about 10 minutes at a time (meaning your dreams are only about 30 minutes long...trippy huh?)DMT can also be found in some frogs and is used as a defense mechanism when they are frightned/ feel threatned, and can also be extracted from MOST grasses (not the kind on your lawn though)

yeah, the crazy part is it is a felony to possess DMT....even though everybody does it every night lol, never tried it though :P never really had the chance though haha. have you seen the video where Joe Rogen talks about it? it's pretty funny lol

I don't know If this sounds stupid but I didn't want to make a whole new thread and this is sort of simillar how bad is it to take 6 paracetamol in 5 minutes when your only suppoesed to take 1 or 2 in 4 hours according to the back of the box I felt really tried after and not really sure how bad an overdose it is?
Help is very appreciated x

well yeah, it is really bad to take 6 within 5 minutes.
acetaminophin or paracetamol, is TERRIBLE for your liver, acute overdoses of paracetamol can cause potentially fatal liver damage and, in rare individuals, a normal dose can do the same. now im not telling you you're going to overdose, because most likely, you aren't. but please don't ever take these pills to get high again, it's just a bad idea and they aren't going to get you high unless you take a dangerous amount.

I'm pretty sure what kind of medicine yourtalking about, if its prescription that is, I know my druggie friend came in and got excited and drank like 1/4 of it too. I did some research and not that I'm saying you should, but doing it once shouldn't do anything, I don't know if your a light weight or not w/ drugs but, I drank 1/6 and it basically felt like you had no cares and your arms and legs feel really heavy and you laugh... Alot... Hope this helped.

well i did that stuff for about 2 weeks
i didnt get much affects and fortunately that stuff if very light on the body theres barely any codeine in it and the promethazine just clears out ur lungs
stay away from prescriptions in general, there to addictive and the highs arent even that great, if you gotta get high smoke weed

Well apart from the fact that what he did was illegal, and what you are thinking about is illegal, I still wouldn't do it.

I mean, the fact that your body has to go through all that liquid and meds and filter it out of your blood stream, I think that might lead to some liver issues. If people accidentally overdose on regular Tylenol and get liver failure, then I am sure that what you are thinking about doing isn't smart nor safe either.

Find some other ways to have fun instead of just attempting to get high on prescribed cough syrup.

Overdosing on Dxm is like overdosing on weed.
its damn near impossible.
dxm dosnt kill people.
the other added crap does.
like apap, guasfien, cpm.

I'm very experienced with this so if you're going to listen to anyone listen to me.
I've done it several times, and 1/4th of a bottle is nothing, barely enough to get high. If you want to get high off it drink at least a bottle to a bottle and a half. You won't die, you'll just trip for a while. The effects are very similar to PCP and Ketamine I'm not saying that you should go do this drug. It is a powerful drug that most people underestimate because it's just cough syrup, but believe me it can fuck you up more than most illegal drugs out there. Just don't take more than 2 bottles at once, and you'll be fine. Some people take that much, but it's not reccomended that's where it can start to get a little dangerous.
O, and if you're gonna do it make sure you get the stuff that has just one active ingredient, and it's Dextromethorphan HBR
