Is there a way that you can test to see if you have an STD without having to go to the doctor?

I doubt there are self tests, other than checking for visible sores or bumps. Even if there are, I would guess they are extremely unreliable.
The best way would be to check in with a certified health care provider. Most are private and won't mention it to parents

Not really.
There are some services, however, that send a test home to you, then you send whatever they need to their lab, and they send you the results back.
Really should get the test done by a doctor though.
And as Nick said, if you don't want them to mention it to your parents, they wont. It's called patient confidentiality.

The only way you can do this is to look for symptoms of STD's, this can range from swelling, itching, discharge etc. Google search will bring up lists of symptoms. However some STD's do not display symptoms. It is important to get treatment for any STD as it can lead to further health complications.
If you go to a health centre, they will test you (usually by a urine test, sometimes a blood test) You wont have to worry about who the doctors tell unless you are under the age of consent where they may be obliged to inform your parents.
To prevent yourself from catching STD's be sure to use a condom when having any kind of sexual intercourse.
