Sims 3 fans!

Well, I'm completely and totally obsessed with The Sims and always have been.

Who has got or is getting The Sims 3?

You know what I said in your thread....it won't work on my computer.

My friend has it and she said it's amazing, but they took a couple of things out of it to make room for the new things.

1) You can only use pre-existing lots like in The Sims. (In The Sims 2 you were allowed to place lots wherever.)

2) You only have one town to use. (As in no blank towns to mess with.) There's also one to download from the website, but that's it.

Other than that, customization is very easy and there's a huge color pallette.

HOLY ZOMBIE JESUS GOLDEN SUN DS (AKA GOLDEN SUN 3) COMES OUT NEXT YEAR! But there's no release date yet. Not even in Japan. They just announced it at E3 on Tuesday. Yes, it's coming to Europe for you as well. :D

Gotta go replay both games in time. About halfway through Golden Sun at the moment. Also restarted Golden Sun: The Lost Age. In Ankohl Ruins in that one...I always get lost in that dungeon everytime I play that game.

When we all get Sims 3...I think we should all make people from VT on it and send each other screenshots of it! :D

Btw, I use a cheat where their aspiration levels are always on platinum and their moods are always set to happy. So my sims never get tired, hungry, bored or depressed. :P

well in sims 3 there is neither platinum nor the max motives cheats ... i was so deluded ? ... I got it the day it was realased well to say it all i expected it to be "More" .. anybody go the same feeling ?

I love using the "moveobjects on" cheat and moving the sim characters into the fridge and letting them freeze to death or drowning the babies in hot tubs, fun stuff.

And I don't know how many times I've murdered the social worker who comes to take your baby away by building a wall around her with no doors, on all the Sims games (with PC and PS2) :D

haha ive only killed the social worker once. She came to take my child away. You see, i was only punishing her because she skipped school, so i put all her bars right the way down. It was a good lesson. Then the social worker came so i just killed them lol

XD Ive never ever drowned a baby or frozen someone! I feel ive missed out on so much fun! In sims one i would put 6 people in a time room with a cooker i think, (something that caught fire easily) ans they would just burrrrn :P

This is my first Sim game, surprisingly, and I've been addicted to it since I bought it. I just hate that my Sim has a better life than I do >.>

It's very good. The graphics are spectacular, there's so much more choices available and everything is much more detailed which I like a lot! And many of the cheats are still the same, yay!

However, The Sims 2 navigation was far better than this, and the whole neighbourhood scheme in general was as well.

IMO, they should of kept Pleasantview, Veronaville and Strangetown and all it's components, storylines, accessories, characters and the whole navigation system itself - but with all the brand spanking new improvements of course! :)

Best feature is being able to place things at an angle. I sometimes used to quit the game as it drove me round the bend not having things the way they should be, damn ocd!

Sunset Valley is supposed to be a prequal to Pleasantview, But I do miss Strangetown.

a full Xbox 360 port is a lot more likely not only for the better GPU, but for the higher RAM amount... still, none of the consoles this gen has enough RAM to run the full Sims 3 experience as it is on PC... a Urbz-style game is a lot more likely...

You should upgrade your PC if you want to get this game...

Not to mention that all the various console ports for The Sims 2 were craptastic, and I cant expect any better for The Sims 3. Its designed for the desktop.

Any type of Sims on PS2, Nintendo DS, Xbox and any other console apart from PC or Mac is pretty tragic in my opinion.

The Sims is only truly loveable and extremely addictive on the computer. :P

I got sims 2 for my ps2. It was going really well and my family were awesome! I didnt even try to kill them! Now that is sayign something. So, one day i went to play but either someone deleted the memory or it just blew away xD I've never played sims on my ps2 since. Its just pc for me.
