fasting is unhealthy and harmful to your health. you are growing, starving yourself of usefull minerals and ingredeints is dangrous. think about what you are doing logically.

Read it. All of it. Considering how much I Normally eat in a day (Now raning anywhere from 300-1400 cals a day) fasting is n ot a problem for me.

And anyways, i cant get by dinner. I had to eat at dinner but i had no meat, drank tea and water, and hat virtually a salad and pita bread (although a lot heh)

Soo for the next three days no meals except dinner (which will hopefully be small)

Cheers

fasting=eating one full meal a day (sometimes 2 small meals are allowed) no eating between meals

not eating food at all for 3 days is not good at all Alex

While I did not read the full article you posted, I can tell that it is a sound one. If I had more time, I'm sure I'd enjoy reading it :)

Fasting is a great way to detox, and help the body. I've been on a few 2 day fasts (can't make it 3...), and I can tell you that it is great, and definitely helps overall health and well-being. Several cultures fast four times per year- at the changing of the seasons, to help the body prepare to recieve different kinds of foods.

As we are all teens, I would suggest a soup fast (or as the article suggests, a juice fast). For a three day fast, maybe start with soup or juice on day one, nothing day two, and soup or juice day three. It helps ease the body into and out of the process, but you still retain the good effects.

For those against fasting- It is in no way starving yourself, which is a terrible medical condition, it is allowing your body for a chance to clean itself. If you become anorexic during a fast, yeah, it's bad, but as long as you stick to your plan of 2 or 3 days (and no more than a week, normally!) you're fine.

Good for you with your fast- I wish I could last three days! Maybe for my Winter-Spring fast, I can!
