Hey, my name's Sachin.
This place is HUGE - I had no idea where to start posting, so I assumed this would be the best place (there was a tag saying "great place to start your first post" or whatever).
Anyway, I'm 15 years old and I go to a super-competitive high school for "the gifted and talented" - in the academic way. Our teachers keep on telling us that we're "the brains of the future" and "in the top 1% in the world". However all we really do is memorise every sentence off our textbooks and regurgitate it when exams come up... sort of. Hmm, not really. Ah, I dunno.
Anyway, I play the piano and I used to play the clarinet however I don't do music for school; the head-teacher for music is the most deluded person you would ever meet (she has placed many of her students amongst the "great actors of the world"), plus she has pictures of her pet cat taped all over the class room, it's all really disturbing and slightly horrifying. She looks a bit like a cat as well, with her red hair and sneaky eyes, however I'm getting off the point.
Other things I enjoy doing include... reading (I read heaps, when I can... I USED to read heaps anyway), drawing (I enjoy drawing however I don't do art for school [the head art teacher shares the same tratits of the head music teacher apart from the cat-obsession]), hmm... I like playing sport (apart from soccer, my brother LOVES soccer though), um... I like playing certain playstation games... hmm. I enjoy A LOT of stuff, believe me, I just can't think of much of them at... the... moment... (my english teacher tells me that I/we "enjoy procrastinating", however I'm sure every teacher says that kind of stuff and anyway she DOES take herself a tad too seriously).
ANYWAY, I love movies as well, but who doesn't? I watched "V for Vendetta" last night and it was awesome. I also like music (I bought tons of music CDs from Thailand for $2 each). Argh, another mental block. Can't think of anything, honestly, it's way too late. The only thing keeping me awake are neighbours preparing for another of their huge parties (they have awesome parties!) and "Wolf Creek" (has anyone seen it? Scariest film ever).
Well, just to finish-off, I'm not exactly sure WHY I joined this forum, but it sounds like it could be kind of fun. Sorry for all the teacher-bashing in my first post, I realise it is sort of disrespectful, but they ARE really annoying... sometimes. ARGH, anyway: HI!
:yeah: And this is meant to be...? I get the other ones though.
