View Full Version : What makes you think JC is God? It's likely that he was an illegitimate boy.

Just because it says so in the bible! Who made up the bible? A couple of his friends!! What big miracles did he do? Even what is claimed he did it supposedly was done in front of his friends. It is very likely that he also did magic. Do you think that God could have done better things than that if he wanted to start a new religion!!

In answer to the title question, I don't think that Jesus was God incarnate.
Why are you so convinced that magic is real?
I don't think there is any greater deed than to teach the importance of compassion which is precisely what Jesus taught.

Magic is as real as the Jewish Zombie who apparently was God's sadistic blood sacrifice of HIMSELF to HIMSELF to appease HIMSELF. Makes perfect sense. I disbelieve in magic to the same degree.

The bible was made by numerous authors, across numerous years and as the stories were compiled, some were removed. In the bible, Jesus is documented to have done a variety of miracles, such as healing people, walking on water, etc... .
Why do you believe he did magic? Is it that the bible says he did, therefore he did? That's poor reasoning to me.
I do not believe that JC and God are one in the same. It would make little sense for the "Virgin" Mary to have given birth to God after God had somehow magically impregnated her (yet somehow she was still a virgin). I consider them two separate entities.
God is/was a bloodthirsty, sadistic, jealous, arrogant and hypocritical divine being. Jesus on the other hand gave compassion and understanding and love. For a belief that professes that its god loves everyone, I think Jesus did quite enough and God has done enough damage to it already.

Ive never believed in the bible. It never seemed correct, anybody could change "could" to "coudnt", "Is" to "isnt" and "yes" to "no".
I am christian and it is really good question, as many so called sserious christians will just say "NO!!!! its NOT TRUE". Questioning ones religion is what makes the religion stronger.
The Bible isnt my guide, you know right from wrong. That you shouldnt discriminate, be mean, kill, take what others have worked for. On and on.
Magic in the old times is very unbelievable because why do people back then that barely understood what causes them to think see then people will logic will. They see a cloud a spark and they run. They could easily embelish things. The walking on water could be "jesus christ" walking on shallow water to a boat to a person who thought it was deep. The nailing to a cross couldve happened to more then one person easily. Torture, chopping off heads, stakes, pulling off people limps were definatly used more then once as they did the job and then some.
I believe in God and Heaven and that Magic will be heaven. Its not what i was taught its what i beleive. Part of me is that i need to because i dont want to believe that after we die we just die. Its terrifying and then a part that says that there are so many times that ____ should have happened but i was protected and i thought it was more then luck.
The Bible really isnt accurate as it doesnt have A shining signature saying Jehovah. If it did i would believe

If Jesus had existed, and the events depicted in the Bible are accurate, I would suspect a logical reason for his "miracles", such as magic tricks.

im not sure if you're trying to say he didn't exist or not, but it is fact that he DID exist. whether or not he performed the miracles that the bible had said, and whether or not he was the son of God, is still un-proven...
sorry but there were just too many records of him, all occuring within the same time period for him NOT to exist...unless someone was pulling off the biggest hoax of history

Actually there really aren't any records of him existing. It strikes me as odd because like in Bill Maher's documentary, he touched on the subject that Jesus's story is exactly identicle to the story of Horus or something an Egyptian diety who in fact according to Egyptian scriptures went through the same exact struggles. Religion, is basically a huge hoax, there is evidence that we grew out of animals and that we evoloved over time. Also the fact that the world is only 2000 years old is wrong because we have fossils. So basically you cannot say whether he existed or not, the basic premisis of religion is the two sided lense, You have to look at things with a healthy amount of skepticism for those things that are totally false, and you also have to let the small things that possibly happen remain as they are. As for a man who was basically the saviour of everyone, yet his story matches that of 10-20 different pagan gods, makes you wonder. Is this really a hoax, and seeing as there are no real pictures, written documents, etc. Well then it pretty much sits on the border between hoax and reality.
