I wake up crying
Do they really care?

Sometimes in the day
I imagine myself crying
Do they really care?

If it weren't for the humorous comments
Would they really care?
If it weren't for the self-deprecation
Would they really care?

Sometimes I wonder
Can I make them cry?
Sometimes I think
Is it just me that's crying?

Do they care about me, or is it just a smoke screen
Do they care, do they care if I think they're mean?

Maybe they do
Maybe they understand me
And maybe this is just all a dream
