Congrats dude thats great! For do and don'ts all i have is that you definitely shouldnt make fun of her, abuse her, dont randomly ignore her, and always make her your first priority. the only thing thats takes priority over my girlfriend is schoolwork

1.NEVER I MEAN NEVER say i love you to girl unless you know her like she was one of ur good friends,and you actually love her not likeing her a lot.
2.Talk.You need this to keep the realationship alive.
3.If you are a nerd(no offense but i doubt yiu are :D)don't talk about those weird games like WoW Runescape Ect. or use the word noob around her T_T
4.When eva you do talk (texting,facebook,phone,or on a date)ask stuff like how was your day,whats up.
5.try to get know her more and see what you to both like.
