Thoughts?
I think it's absolutely kick-ass.
Can't wait 'till it comes out (Which will probably like '10 or '11)

Using my body as the controller is something I've kinda always wanted to do, now I'll actually be able to. :)

It seems nice but i would love to have some kind of controller. The reason why we play video games is to do things we couldn't normally do so it would suck having to actually learn how to play a video game.

It's for the Xbox360. So you can still use your controller for the games. You aren't required to use a controller though.

Looks fun, but I cant imagine that its nearly as responsive as they show in that video.

Technology is a long way off from making that real any time soon. Plus it's all a load of crap.

I'd prefer a controller any day over twating about jumping around, and looking like an idiot talking to it. They're trying to copy and beat the Wii. FAIL.

I don't see how a motion sensitive controller, and a consumer MOCAP device is even closely related Andy....
Also, mind explaining how technology is a 'long way off'? My school runs a MOCAP studio with two simple little RGB cameras, and an IR depth sensor.
Microsoft is just embedding this all into one device, how is that far-off technology?

Whether they ripped the idea off of the Wii or not, I would still prefer using no controller over the Wii-mote. The Xbox generally tends to have better graphics and more games I would personally be interested in.

Also, by the by, has anyone seen the Milo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdkw7sQZPT0) video?

Yeah, I saw the Milo video.
Awesome-sauce is my opinion.
I could spend hours playing with/talking to Milo.

Honestly, how is project Natal copying the Wii? The Wii uses a remote. Project Natal is all motion sensor and voice pickup. Honestly, I think it's pointless because games would be more fun with a controller, but signing into Xbox Live by face recognition is pretty impressive, though.
I saw it when when I was watching E3 and I was just like "wow."

this could be really fun but i just think it will cost a lot of money for the natal camera, maybe as much as an xbox itself cuz the natal has a lot of cool features to it, but i'm definitely getting it.

Just motion sensing stuff in general. Same idea via a different method.

Its a great idea, seems like it will be a copy of the eye toy that actually works, and has better games!!

I saw the advert for it on youtube and thought it was a joke at first, hopefully they develop it

That level of tech is just no where near.. what would that realisticly take to work that well? hell, even (commercially used) voice recognition is sketchy these days.

Ziggy, video games in general is hard to believe.
I don't see how a console can connect to a t.v. and read the disc. Same with computers. But, they're possible. Project Natal can be possible.

Look only 5 years into the past, look at where technology was then.
Now look 3 years into the past.

Look at how damn far we've come in just 3-5 years. And you're telling me that technology is 'far off'?
For christs sake, we can already make blind people see! (With brain implants, and a camera) But a simple motion detector and voice recognition (Something that's been out for consumers since Windows 2000 BTW) isn't possible?

I saw the video and I can't wait for it to come out. It isn't hard to belive because i use a mic for my computer to navigate around because I couldn't find it(baby brother took it and hid it in his crib) and it was easy.
