Like.. I don't know.. I feel horrid all the time at the moment, and then if something happens, sometime s I just.. I don't know, snap? And go kind of numb, and cut, and just continue to feel numb but like I've had a release?

I don't know if this makes sense at all..

Physically or emotionally numb? If you've cut, you'd know. It's an empty feeling, like your so light, just empty, like your numb but not, a cold empty feeling. And I wouldnt call it numb cause i can still feel pain when im this way.

I have, I know all that. The one person that replied confused me, they explained how you could physically feel numb... I've never physically felt numb, but I tottally relate to what you said.

I have felt both physically and emotionally numb... I don't know, sometimes when I've gone really deep, it's because after a while I just stop feeling it, it doesn't hurt at all and I can keep cutting deeper and deeper without feeling a thing.

Not physically numb because it stings a little when I cut. It stings so good though. :/

Mentally I just feel very disoriented and I get a rush of excitement. It's like being on a high. I feel great while I'm doing it, then after I'm done I feel awful, one of the most awful feelings I've ever felt. I don't even know why I do this anymore...

Makes sense. I feel somewhat the same thing, like I'm raging with emotion or whatever, and then it's just numb before, during, and after. It's wierd.

I shut down. That's the phrase I was struggling to find. Sometimes something will kick off the depression even more (a comment or something) and then it's like, I shut down and go kind of numb and mechanical, and pick up the razor..

It's your body's natural reaction to pain. It tries to suppress it, but if you keep cutting, you'll just end up getting less and less pleasure out of it.

Try marijuana. It's much better.

Yes, Always feel emotionaly numb, feel like i've done something really bad and have failed myself and just cry.

I have felt that hollie, but never properly numb, i've got pins and needles once before which is the product of numbness though

i dont feel anything, like im always in a frame of mind with no emotion, only the desire to cut and bleed. always feel like this for like half an hour after then the pain sets in. then i feel moronic
