I can speak, read, and write English (of course!), Italian (both the Standard and the Abruzzese dialect which I speak at home), French (I've tooken it for the past year and I'll take one more year of it in high school then I'll move on to Japanese, which I'll take for the remaining three years), and Spanish (which is a co-official language in the United States, my country), while I can only read and understand a few words in Romanian, Dutch, Polish, Greek, Serbian, Russian, Ukrainian, Kurdish, Arabic, and some others. I've mastered the two Japanese kana, which are known as hiragana (more rounded and used to write recent Japanese words) and katakana (more angular and used to write loanwords); I have yet to master kanji (basically the Han ideograms used in Chinese, known as hanza in China and hanja in Korea).
