I need to copy big video files to and from my PS3 and i am using my 4gb USB Memory stick. I cleared alot of stuff on it to be able to use more space. When its plugged into the computer it shows that I have 3.32gb free (in Ubuntu and Windows 7) but when I plug it into my ps3 it only shows that it has 612mb. What could be causing this problem?

I've already had it fixed because it wouldnt't play Blu-Ray movies so the warranty and repair warranty are out

have you ever backed up game saves on the stick that would'nt really come up as a folders on the computer

The computer can still recognize that there are files & folders on the stick, regardless if it can actually read it.
It's like looking at Egyptian hieroglyphs, you can't read it, but you recognize that it is there, and it's taking up space on that wall.

@ the OP, copy what files you want on the stick to your hard drive, then right-click on it in Windows Explorer, and select format.
See if the PS3 can recognize the correct amount of free space. (Play around with the file systems also, see if formatting it as NTFS or FAT32 makes any difference)
