Younger and younger people are getting sexually active. The only thing is find wrong is that teens and kids think they are immune to STDS and AIDS.
Many have the false thought of that, "it couldnt happen to me".
Obviously movies bore them to tears, lectures are just a way to make comments at the speaker, and books are skimmed over. When pushed or even setting up an enviorment where sex is the main idea, many want a full pleasurable experience so protection is seen as a pleasure stopper.
This epidemic is creating more and more infections to innocents.
What will happen in 2020?

If people are staying this blind, I think that it will get so young, you will have children trying it who fail because they are not physically mature enough. I hope this is not the case since it's really stupid and wrong but society's problems are only getting worse and I don't think the government can see it which is very sad.

Hmmm..this is very interesting to me, as I recently read a report here in the US that indicates that, compared with the last generation, teens are LESS sexually active. Maybe this is different than other countries, but here in the US this doesnlt seem accurate.

Perhaps it just seems like 'more' are sexually active? What people report to eachother is often a lot different than what they report with the cloak of anonymity to scientists.

I think it's just being reported more, and the media are (once again) fear mongering.

It's like "problems" like illegal immigration which has existed for years. It's not a "problem" until we're told it's a problem when it's reported by the media.

Our generation is just as sexual as generations before us. Human hormones have never changed, just the way it's been reported.

I'd need some nice reliable statistics from a nice reliable source first. You could hear about it happening more and more but that does not necessarily mean that it occurs more and more. Take for example, accidents with planes and cars. When a plane crashes, it's reported heavily. When a car crashes, not so much unless it's some huge pile-up or devestating accident. Since there would be more plane accidents reported does that mean that they crash more than cars? Absolutely not.

However, I do think you should take into consideration the media at the current time and past time. Currently, sex is shown as being more common when not in pornos. You also have kids now wearing more sexually-oriented clothes than before, which does little to reduce the amount of kids having sex.

I have a huge article in a MacLean's magazine that states compared to previous generations
we drink less
smoke less
do fewer drugs
and are having less sex AND safer sex

Which was nice to hear instead of the constant "This generations shit! They're horrible! Irresponsible! Blah! Blah! Blah! Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Hmm...well this is a toughie. (Did I spell that right?) I would think it hasn't changed much, but yeah now with the media and the recent spike in technology, it's being reported alot more and kids are taking these matters less privately. Now a days teens share their sex stories more often because they hope it wil improve their social status.

I would like to believe that teens these days drink, smoke, and have sex less but yeah I'm not so sure about that. Once again I say it probably hasn't changed much. At least for the U.S.

From personal experience, as i was growing up i saw people my sister's age... she's in the mid twenties now... smoking a lot more, drinking a lot more, and lots of her friends got pregnant, a few aborted, but it wasn't as common, and now most of them are single mothers.
so, maybe we are more sexually active, but we are definitely safer than they were.
Nowadays smoking is a big turn off, and drinking only happens at party until we become legal, because then it isn't such a big hype of not being able to get it whenever you want.
