Hooked on tobacco and drink quite a lot. Have used cannabis, ecstasy, diazepam, temazepam and a hideous substance called mephedrone (completely unrelated to methadone) which turned my sweat yellow. :(

I used to be very psychologically addicted to Ecstasy when i was 15.
But now i think that's absolutely disgusting.
I have a drinking problem, but thats reasonably in control the last 6 months, but was not good for 2 years.

You seem to be confused about the term "drug". The word doesn't neccesarily mean that something is bad it simply means a chemical which alters normal bodily function which cannabis does. Like Matt said, cough medicine is a drug, so are antibiotics, and even caffeine. It is psychoactive therefore it is a drug.

Yes weed is a drug. If it didn't do anything harmful, then it would be legal wouldn't it? Illegal drugs are illegal for a reason, not just because the government had a list and went "Eenie meenie minie moe." And not everyone has done weed, I never have, none of my friends have, the majority of people I know haven't.

I know he is banned, but it makes a difference.

Marijuana is a drug. In the same sense that caffeine(coffee, lattes, etc...) and energy drinks are a drug. Those are physical stimulants, increase heart rate, make you more lively, etc...

LOL. I don't know if I even want to honor the "Weed fries your brain" argument. One of buddies goes to Northern Illinois University. Smokes religiously. Is enrolled in their Finance school which is Top 10 in the country, and he pulls straight A's. It may kill brain cells, but it probably won't be enough to be relevant(As in gradually make you dumber. Unless there is a placebo effect going on and you convince yourself that you are becoming dumber). i smoke, and I have a 3.5 GPA.
