feeling the air flow around me
the lift in the pit of my soul
it filled in ever hole
empowering me to be free
I am flying
soaring
running from my fears
I have left behind in tears
Never has it been so relieving
so emotionally releasing
fleeing the prison bars
no longer sticky as tar
But I'm not running
there's nothing I'm fearing
as I look down
I see nothing of a frown
The earth is smiling
happy to see me
showing me it's beauty
telling me I'm free
to take in this unworldly image
that has never been shared
as no one ever cared
I now know what I've been missing
what has always been there
never have I appreciated
no one has understood
now it's my turn to tell the world
about the beauty the earth shared
