Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace?

Which James Bond film did you like more? Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace? Why? In fact, have you even seen them?

Casino Royale. I think the relationship between him and Vesper was good. And the story was better as well, even though Solace was a follow on, it was a bit like a typical revenge thriller really. (Only a much higher budget)

There both good for different reasons, I still think there the best James Bond films ever made, with Royale being the better of the two as it had it all really. Solace had some fucking awesome action scenes though.

I think the characters were great in Royale, even though some of them followed on, Le Chiffe, Mathis, Vesper etc. They were all good. More importantly to me I prefer the Craig style of bond. Much more realistic than the vain, cleanliness of the others. Much grittier.

Now I have not seen either of the films but apparently the latest one, Quantum of Solace has no gadgets, whats up with that? A Bond film with no gadgets? BOOO
However it looks awesome anyway

Sorry if this sounds picky but if you haven't seen them, wouldn't you have voted for the last option ("haven't seen both or any of them") instead of the third option ("not sure")? Ah what the heck; it's your choice so ignore me.

Anyway, I think they left the gadgets out of both the new James Bond films because they want to make it seem more realistic and view James Bond (this is mostly true for Casino Royale) as more of a person than a reletnless killing machine. I think that they've done well in fact. I'd probraly say I prefer Quantum of Solace though. Not for storyline purposes (Casino ROyale was better for that although not by too much), but simply because there was a lot more action and fighting.

I like the old James Bonds better than both of those, but Casino Royale was the btter of the two. I almost fell asleep during Quantum Solace.

This is a tough choice.

I guess I like them both equally.

The bad thing about CR is that I can fall asleep during it :yawn:. The bad thing about QoS is the quick cuts during the action sequences .

Everything else about them is pretty good though.

I can say the same about me. Casino Royale can get boring quickly while Quantum of Solace for most of it makes you want to continue watching, even if the story may be weaker for some.

Casino Royale for me, just loved the kinda comical bits mixed with the shady bits.

Thought the storyline was awesome.

They are both great movies, I have Casino Royale on DVD and Quantum of Solace on BluRay. But I do have to say that Casino Royale was a bit better.

The way I see it, not enough happened in Casino Royale. For too much of it, they were in that hotel. I liked the beginning and the end though.
