Anyone watched Hot Fuzz? I really thought it was funny and it's one of my favourite films! What do you think of it if you've seen it?

I also liked the storyline as well as the humour and some of the fighting was good but I've seen better. I would really love a sequal as it was one of my favourite films!

Hot Fuzz is awesome! i dunno about a sequel but i know it is part of a film trilogy which Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright all were involved with... The first of the "Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy" (what Simon Pegg calls it) is Shaun of the Dead, the second being Hot Fuzz and the third is called The World's End and will come out in 2010.

The cast for this film was full of famous actors which is very surprising considering the type of film it is.
Loved it and I think Jim Broadbent was great!

I'm glad actually.
Sequels tend to be a pile of shit.

Actually Hot Fuzz is a sort of sequel to Sean of the Dead
They are doing another one ^^
Hot Fuzz is a very funny movie, very clever. Very British humour, i think.

Hot Fuzz and Sean of the Dead are two completely different films with completely different characters and plots.

yeah but made by exactly the same people --
Thats why i said it was a "sort of" sequel.
it was written by the same people
which makes it a sequel in my eyes
besides, sean pegg and nick frost say that Hot Fuzz is the second in "Cornetto and Blood" trilogy (the third one is about aliens)

They wrote the two films, so what?
Writers will write more than one separate film/book in their lifetime but that doesn't mean that the films are automatically sequels/prequels.

This trilogy is a group of three films that is based on the Three Colours Trilogy. Each film represents one colour of the French flag. That is the only way these films are connected.
The characters, plots, settings etc are all separate. Ergo, Hot Fuzz is not a real sequel to Shaun of the Dead or a real prequel to The World's End.

erm... It's just what i think

and blue, red and green arn't the French Flag. It follows Cornetto colours. The next film will apparently be green according to Sean Pegg.

I did say a "sequel IN MY EYES" for a reason. That's my point. It is to me.
