A forum is a collection of discussions, or threads.
And a thread is where the actual discussion takes place.
So, this (This post) is in your thread, which is in the sub-forum "Gen ?'s & Surveys".
Also, probably belongs in TJP.

Threads are individual topics made by members.
So for instance this is the thread you created.
But you created this thread in VTHQ which is a forum.
Forums are specific groups that the threads go in.
So TWPR is a forum. Good Day Good Night is a thread within that.
I hope it makes sense now.
Oh, and this thing that I am typing is a post.

A blog is a place where anyone can post about their day, w.e
A thread is an active place for questions.
