u see this is wat confuses me about computers, like instead of saying

"Battalion-101 CL-Turbo [AMD] Series 15.4" Wide Screen WXGA 1280x800 LCD TFT Notebook w/Li-Ion Battery,"

why cant they say:

"It has a nice screen and a lovely battery"

instead of all these numbers and initials!:D

Because, we nerds love to have specifics :P

Oooh, that is a nice battery, but don't over charge it or it might explode! ;)

bah it probably automaticaly cuts itself off if it gets to the point of popping

and alex, if you like watching high def movies on a widescreen, and it said "it has a nice screen..." and you end up getting some small horrible quality screen decorated with flowers, you wouldnt be to happy would you?

flowers you say?! mmmmmm....

i mean, well if i am buying something like that i always either see a pic or buy it in a shop so i know wat it looks like. i think there should be a thing that describes comps for people like me!!:D

simple description like, u can play your music, games and write letters and do other stuff. thats wat i want!!:D:D

That's basically what all that stuff means, you just have to decipher it :P

yeah it also tells you things you cant know just by looking at a picture, i sure as hell arent opening a battery and tasting the acid to see if its Li-ion or NiCd

MMMMM battery acid. :) ya thats a good laptop, what you plan on doing with it . But i hate my comp it dosn't have a AGP or PCE slot on the motherboard. so i have to use a crappyas lowend nivida card barly able to run BF2 or CS.

i know exactly what you mean, but, the whole purpose of it's power and it being a laptop is to go to my friends house and do lan parties and other random things, like connect to their comp and fix somethings on it they can't that i can, through my comp, some things are just easier to do like that, besides itll last me years...

why go name brand why not custom? find a local shop and have them build for you from the ground up, with the same specs as an alien you'll pay 20% less probably, namebrand are usualy more expensive...

Also your right about alienware. i was just making a point

why go name brand why not custom?

ya you show me where you can build a custom laptop and youll be my best friend....

yes but the alienware cases are so shiny, and i like shiny

so are the other half a million pre mod cases out there
