Maybe you should tell him about how many calories you were consuming, because that may help him in telling you whether or not anything is really wrong...

I'd say maybe eat a little bit less. Don't just not eat anything, because that's bad for you. As long as you have atleast some food in your system you will be fine, but too much or too little can cause problems... I hope that helps...

you said you ate 5000 calories? "(No i did not eat 25000 calories, maybe 5000 O.o)"

anyway. if you eat lower than 1200, your body will go into starvation mode, therefore your metabolism slows down, therefore your body stores more fat because it panics and is being starved, result? weight gain.

You can gain 7 pounds from that in a week.
Your weight fluctates a lot, especially if you're going from 100 calories to 1700 calories.
Your body will be extremely confused as well as your metabolism, it's probably slowed down right now and panicking. You need consistancy in your intake.

It sounds like you need more info here before deciding on a course of action.

When doctor's say things that are too complicated or not easily understood, it's always best to ask them to clarify what they're actually saying. It's unclear what the doc meant here, so it's equally unclear what you should do in response to this info. So, it might be best to talk with this doc again and ask him to clarify and expand on his thoughts, and also, to give him any add'l info you might have (like your eating habits and what your plans are), so he can take all that into consideration before making any recommendations.

If your brain blocked all calories from being burned for a week you would be losing weight still; the body would use up all fat deposits. You would be skin an bones.

If your brain blocked all calorie and fat intake for a week, you wouldn't be alive. The only reason we can survive for days without food is because we have energy (fat) deposits throughout our body. If your brain blocked them, you wouldn't live for long.

I'm thinking you are eating more than you think/know. Or the little that you do eat is very unhealthy.
Or your scale is wrong.

Iirc, dehydration can actually cause bloating and water retention in much the same way starvation slows down the metabolism, causing later weight gain. Stress also increases water retention - and if you ate anything salty, your body would hold onto water to keep its electrolyte balance.

Do you think this is a game?
It's not.
People here are offering you advice and you throw it back in their face and make fun from a serious issue.

Look, to my knowledge it's impossible to gain weight if you haven't eaten much.

I'm guessing you counted calories wrong, the scale was off, or your doctor did something wrong.

Other than that, you can't gain weight unless you consumed the calories equal to that weight (being 24,500 calories that you would have had to consume AFTER you already ate 3 regular meals each day [a total of about 26,000-27,000]).

I asked something, and im telling them what they've said isnt helping me figure out why it happens or how i can make it stop. If i never told people that i didnt drink, they'd think it was that.

Okay, well, go to your doctor about this, not a forum of teenagers.

How do you lose weight?
The answer isn't eat less, and it certainly IS NOT to completely stop eating.
The answer is to actually eat MORE than what your current intake is, and to stabilize your intake.

EDIT: Shit man, 5000 calories in a week? That's only 714 calories in a day! No wonder you're gaining weight, your body is clinging on to every spare calorie it can get ahold of.

Start off with a small breakfast when you wake up, that'll kick off your metabolism, and you'll start burning fat.
Try to eat small, but healthy, snacks throughout the entire day, try not to let yourself feel hungry, when you feel hungry, your metabolism slows down to start storing fat again.
Then eat a healthy dinner.

Try to keep your total calorie intake BELOW 1600, as any more (Depending on how much you exercise) will actually be greater than the amount you burn in a day.
But also keep it ABOVE 1200 per day, as any lower will cause your metabolism to slow down, and you'll gain weight.

Ya i also think you are not monitoring your calories intake properly ...
your weight increase is not matching your calories consumption...
maybe their can be other problems ...
try to consult a good specialist doctor...
