you did it right if you managed not to cut yourself and it feels smooth...

If you didn't cut yourself, and it feels fine, then you did it right.

ok the first time is gonna suck. i mean if u dident cut ur self thats good but when the hair grows in its gonna prob. hurt like hell and that will happen for a while. i shaved mine but now i use that nair stuff. it really smells, but thiers no risk of cutting ur self.

Yeah dude, you did it right, but in a day or so, you'll think you didn't do it right.
When it grows back it WILL itch and burn like you could never imagine.
Just keep shaving though, and all that itching and burning will go away after about the 2nd or 3rd shave.

There is really no wrong way to shave as long as you dont cut yourself, and the hair is gone, but it sounds like you did it right

As long as you didnt cut yourself and it feels good to you then its a good job in my book. and as for the sides i really dont know because i just dont (sorry). btw heads up its going to itch when it grows back

I would say to cut the strands to a short length with a pair of school scissors, then shave what remains with razors, doing so towards the way opposite that they grow. I say this because this is how I always do so, but nowadays I don't shave it off completely, I merely trim it to a short length and leave it at that. It is always nice to have some hair down there all the time.

But, as for your original question, there really is no correct way to shave. It all matters on the texture (wavy, curly, more straight, etc.), length, thickness, and many more factors, so it is not something I can make an instant decision on.
