Well, i was diagnosed with diabetes around 4 years ago and me and my whole family have noticed it took alot away from me.
I was doing great in school until problems with my blood sugars started happening and i had to go in and out of classes. Also it has decreased my fitness as my hospital wouldn't let me do proper sports for almost a year.
Now for the past year i have started to just forget things very easily. Like memory loss but not as bad.
As an example, if somebody told me something like the year mozart was born in, if you ask me again in 5 minutes i would totally forget. I also just randomly forget the whole subject in a conversation and i am constantly asking what were we talking about etc.
If i was asked to take a shot of insulin, in 2 minutes of getting it ready, i would just leave it there and forget about it which would cause my blood sugars a hassle
Can anybody help find some ways to balance these things out?
Thanks

The memory issues may be due to a low blood sugar level or possibly a high one. When you become forgetful, try taking your measurement very fast and see if it is a low or a high, or if it is normal. Keep doing this regularly, especially when you become forgetful. If the readings tend to be normal, then you can inquire to the doctor about it being something else.

With diabetes, it's important to keep your blood sugar levels as stable and well controlled as possible. You do this by taking extra good care of yourself: Eating properly, exercising properly, and monitoring your blood sugar levels and taking your insulin regularly. Key words: 'Properly' and 'Regularly'. The task here is to regulate your sugar levels, when those are proper and consistent, then the *other* effects are lessened. If you're poorly controlled, the effects of that are fairly far reaching.

Work with your docs and nutritionist to be 'proper' and 'regular', and exert some self discipline here and see oif the symptoms don't go away.
