I hit....something on my keyboard and now everything is like...zoomed in. My whole desktop/any other window isn't fully on the screen, I have to scroll around to get to the edges and all.

What did I do? Hah. I'm finding this kind of amusing.

Option-Command-8 or
fn Command-F11


Turn on zoom


Maybe you did the above somehow?

I have your answer. You probably were accidentally holding control while scroll with the mouse wheel. Which makes you zoom in or out as well...
